37: I-Island (III)

It was 6:13 p.m, seventeen minutes early than the time Midoriya and the gang decided.

...

Three boys in suits went inside one of the tallest buildings on the Island.

Inside, they saw a woman welcoming people into the building.

Akira approached the woman and asked, showing his ticket, "Excuse me miss, could you please direct us to the ongoing party?"

"Of course, sir. The reception is on the 3rd Floor. The elevator is just to your right. Have a good evening!" she tells them with a smile.

"Thank you," said Akira.

...

The teens followed the woman's directions and arrived at the reception of the party.

Expecting the floor to be full, the boys were shocked to see that only a few dozens were at the reception.

But, they just shrugged it off, thinking they were too early.

Looking around, they saw a snack bar. They picked up a small plate and started picking some of the appetizers.

"Yes sir. The woman has been changed and the bigwigs are redirected to the room. David Shield is currently on his way there." said a man in a suit to his earpiece.

"Good work. Alright, it's nearly time..."

"Man, it's really quiet for a party, right? I mean, I've never been to one, but I always imagined it to be really loud and... filled with people," said Kirishima with an awkward smile, scratching the back of his head.

"Tch. Where the fuck is All Might?" said an angry voice.

"Sigh... Are we even in the right place?" asked Akira.

"Should we look around the building? Maybe we're on the wrong floor..." asked Kirishima.

"Well, I'm starting to get bored just standing here, and I think Bakugo wanted to see All Might, so why not?"

...

They left the room and looked for the elevator.

They went in and when the door closed, they were about to press their desired floor but...

The elevator turned completely dark, which was followed by a blinking red light and a metallic door closing outside.

"The fuck?"

"Err. Did we break something?"

"I don't think so..."

As they were confused, they could hear a distant, unintelligible woman's voice from outside.

Then a word suddenly appeared on the screen in front of them. It said, "Rebooting..."

The elevator then proceeded to move upwards at a very fast speed.

"Ugh," said Akira as he touched the floor of the elevator.

"Slow Down." when it slowed down, the boy immediately followed it with, "Stop."

"That... was making me dizzy..." said Kirishima.

Akira then touched the door and said, "Open."

When the elevator door opened, they were met with a metallic door, but Akira just opened that too.

Once they were outside...

"There are two possible reasons why that elevator "rebooted". Scenario A, the staff made a mistake and rebooted it, knowing people could be inside, which is very unlikely for a place such as this... Or Scenario B, something or someone messed with it..." stated Akira.

"This is troublesome," muttered Bakugo.

"We need to quickly find the stairs," said Akira.

After spending a few minutes running around some hallways, they finally spot a door.

Seeing as it would not open, Akira unlocked it using his quirk.

What greeted them was an indoor park. The room was very spacious and it was filled with trees and bushes. There were also paths on the floor. There, stood two people in very noticeable combat gear.

"Huh? Children?"

Meanwhile, in a room filled with people in fancy clothes...

"It's just as you heard. We have taken over the security system. Don't try to put up a fight, if you do... The security bots outside will start to attack the innocent people outside." said a man with red, auburn hair as he walked inside the room.

The man was followed by several men with guns, wearing identical masks.

He continues, "That's right. All of the people on this island are hostages!"

"And that includes you guys as well..." added the man with a grin as he muttered, "Do it."

Mechanical ropes started coming out of the ground and wrapped around all of the Heroes in the room.

*BANG!*

"Don't move a single muscle. If you do, everyone in this room is dead." said the Villain as he knocked over the Symbol of Peace.

"Now, follow All Might and stop struggling!"

In another part of the building...

"My phone isn't working... It seems like all communication methods have been blocked..." said a teen with glasses.

"Are you serious!?"

"The elevators aren't working too..." said a short-haired girl.

"I can't believe the security system would switch to High Alert Mode, just because an explosive was planted..." contemplated a beautiful blonde-haired girl.

"Iida-kun, let's head to the party venue." said a messy green-haired boy.

"Why, Midoriya-kun?"

"Because All Might is at the party," answered Midoriya.

"Oh! Then we have nothing to worry about..." sighed a yellow-haired boy.

"Melissa-san, can you get us to the party somehow?" asked Midoriya.

Melissa replied, "If we use the emergency stairs, I think we can get closer to the hall."

"Please lead the way!" said the boy with a bow.
