Chapter 3: First Place
~~~~
"Everyone here has a powerful quirk, it's about how we use them. It's nice to meet you, Iida."
Iida nodded in agreement.
"Indeed. Everyone here has unique abilities, but the true measure of a hero is how they utilize those abilities."
Aizawa was standing off to the side, watching the race with his usual stoic expression. He caught my gaze and nodded slightly, giving me a rare sign of approval.
'This is rizz chat. Totally poggers, innit bruv.'
I walked with Iida back towards our classmates and waited for Aizawa to tell us the next quirk apprehension test.
Aizawa cleared his throat to get the class's attention.
"Alright, listen up. Next up is the grip strength test. We'll be measuring your grip strength to assess your physical strength."
The class nodded in understanding and began to prepare for the grip strength test. Each student was handed a grip strength tester and instructed to use it to test their maximum grip strength
As I circulated my psychic energy, I could feel my muscles growing stronger and more powerful. I knew that my grip strength would be significantly enhanced by the energy, giving me an advantage in the test.
I looked around the room as my classmates took their turns. Some of them were using their Quirks to enhance their grip strength, while others were using pure muscle power. I could see a few students struggling to even activate their Quirks, let alone use them to their full potential.
I squeezed the device with all my might, channeling my psychic energy into my grip. The machine beeped loudly as I reached a score of 500 kg. I smirked at the number, clearly pleased with my results.
This was an impressive feat, Shoji is one of the only other students to score higher with 540 kg.
Shoji gave me a thumbs up as he saw my score, clearly impressed by my performance. The other students also looked at me with a mixture of surprise and respect, knowing that I had used my Quirk to achieve such a high score.
Aizawa, who had been observing the tests, nodded in approval. He knew that my Quirk was powerful, but he was still impressed by my ability to control it so precisely.
Kai had also used her Quirk, snow clouds, to boost her grip strength. Her hands were coated in a layer of snow, giving her an icy grip. She looked at her own score and then at mine, a hint of envy in her eyes.
I winked at her. This would annoy her but it would be incredibly funny.
Kai's eyes narrowed at the sight of my wink, her cheeks flushing slightly in annoyance. She scowled at me, clearly not amused by my teasing.
I approached her, a teasing grin on my face.
Kai's scowl deepened as I approached, her irritation growing with every step I took. She crossed her arms and glared at me, trying to look intimidating but failing miserably.
"Hey, Kai"
Kai huffed in annoyance as I spoke, still trying to keep her expression stern. She looked away from me, not wanting to give me the satisfaction of responding.
"How adorable~" I said, the tone of my voice had to have been the most smug tone ever heard.
Kai's eyes snapped back to me, her cheeks turning redder with anger and embarrassment. She clenched her fists, clearly trying to control her temper.
"Shut up, you smug bastard," she hissed.
I walked away and waved, knowing it would do any good to continue.
Kai watched me walk away, her anger still simmering. She muttered under her breath, cursing my name as she tried to calm down. Her classmates chuckled quietly at the interaction, clearly amused by my teasing of the pink-haired girl.
The class moved on to the standing long jump, a simple test that involved leaping as far as possible from a standing position. The students lined up at the starting line, preparing for their turns.
The first few students took their turns, jumping relatively far but not breaking any records. As they finished, it was finally my turn to go.
I took a deep breath and focused my psychic energy, preparing myself for the jump. As I stepped up to the starting line, I could feel the energy coursing through my body, giving me a sense of power and control.
With a burst of psychic energy, I launched myself into the air, flying several meters before landing on the other side of the sand pit. I had easily cleared the pit, and my landing was smooth and controlled.
I could have just levitated myself with my mind, but that means I wouldn't get to show off.
The other students stared at me in shock and awe as I landed gracefully on the other side of the sand pit. They couldn't believe how far I had jumped, clearly underestimating the extent of my powers.
As the other students watched, they couldn't help but notice the golden glow surrounding me. It was an unmistakable sign of my Quirk, and it made them even more impressed by my abilities.
Aizawa raised an eyebrow as he observed my golden glow. He knew that my Quirk was impressive, but seeing it in action like this was something else entirely. He took a mental note of my power, making a mental note to keep an eye on mre in future tests.
As the other students took their turns, some managed to clear the pit with ease, while others struggled to make it even halfway. The competition was fierce, and everyone was pushing themselves to the limit.
The atmosphere was electric, with students cheering each other on and trying to motivate one another. As the last few students took their turns, the anticipation was building. Everyone was waiting to see who would come out on top in this particular event.
The next test was a series of repeated side steps, a test of agility and quickness. The students lined up at the starting line, ready to spring into action as soon as the signal was given.
As the signal to start was given, the students began to take rapid side steps, moving quickly from one foot to the other. Some of them stumbled and tripped up, while others moved with impressive speed and grace.
I was among the students who moved with ease, my agility and quickness making the test look effortless. I made it through the entire sequence without faltering, my movements fluid and precise.
Once again, the other students couldn't help but be impressed by my performance. Aizawa took note of my agility and quickness, realizing that I was not only strong but also very fast.
I trained my body not only to look hot in front of girls, but also to not be useless in a physical fight. If someone could ever get close to me without my knowledge, I would be in trouble.
The familiar sound of a ball being thrown echoed across the field as the students began their ball throw. Each student took their turn, using their Quirks in various creative ways to send the ball flying as far as possible.
The students were using their Quirks in all sorts of inventive ways, some sending the ball flying at incredible speeds while others used their abilities to create momentum or unexpected trajectories. The competition was fierce, and everyone was pushing themselves to the limit to get the best score possible.
It was finally my turn to take my shot at the ball throw. I picked up the ball, my eyes scanning the field as I calculated my throw. With a confident smirk, I pulled my arm back and threw the ball with all my strength, channeling my psychic energy into the throw.
As the ball left my hand, I focused my energy into a single point, channeling all of my power into that single point. The ball began to glow with golden light, picking up speed and energy as it flew through the air.
The ball soared into the sky, gaining incredible speed and height as it traveled. It was an impressive throw, and the other students watched in awe as the ball disappeared from view.
Who said Uraraka was the only special one with reaching infinity? It was also mine now, thank you.
Aizawa, who had been watching the entire time, checked his watch and looked up at the sky. He raised an eyebrow as he saw the ball still flying through the air, showing no signs of slowing down.
Aizawa's eyebrow arched higher as the ball finally began to descend, still moving at incredible speed. It was going to land a very long distance away, possibly even leaving the campus entirely.
The other students gasped as they realized the magnitude of the throw. They had all thought that their own throws were impressive, but mine was on a whole other level. The sheer power and distance of the throw was beyond anything they had ever seen before.
The ball reached a high altitude, it began to float weightlessly in the air, just like Uraraka's famous 'throw' from the anime. It hovered there for a moment, suspended in the sky as the other students watched in awe and shock.
I winked at Uraraka, since we had the same score in this test.
Uraraka smiled back at me, impressed by my throw. She has started to admire my Quirk, and it was clear that she respected my abilities as a fellow student.
As the test continued, the students were left in awe of my display of power. Some of them even began to whisper about my abilities, wondering just how far my Quirk could take me. Even Aizawa seemed a little taken aback by my performance, though he tried to hide it behind his usual stern demeanor.
Some people may wonder why I showed off so much. My answer is because I need to show that I'm a threat via Aoyama to the League of Villain. But I haven't shown off all of my tricks yet, that would be stupid.
As the day went on, the tests continued. Each one was a new challenge for the students, pushing them to their limits and showcasing their unique abilities. But throughout it all, my performance in the ball throw remained at the forefront of everyone's mind, making me the undisputed star of the show.
Aizawa stepped forward, holding a stack of papers in his hands. He looked over the students with a critical eye, taking in their various expressions of exhaustion and relief.
"Alright, I've graded your performances," he said, his voice calm and measured. "Now, I'm going to reveal the rankings."
The students waited with bated breath, their eyes fixed on Aizawa as he began to read off the names.
As Aizawa announced the final rankings, the students reacted with a mix of surprise, disappointment, and excitement. Some of them were ecstatic to be at the top, while others were visibly upset at their lower placement.
As Aizawa finished reading the names, he looked over the class once more. He could see the various emotions on their faces, from pride to disappointment to nervousness.
"Now that you all know your placements," he said, "I'll explain the significance of these results."
Aizawa paused for a moment, allowing the students to settle down and listen intently. He then continued.
"These results will determine the seating arrangement for the rest of the school year," he said firmly. "As you may have noticed, the top 10 students will be seated at the front of the class, while the lower ranked students will be at the back."
The students looked around at each other, some with nervous expressions on their faces. Being seated at the back of the class could mean they were less likely to be noticed or called on, while being at the front would put them in the spotlight.
"Aizawa-sensei?" I raised my hand.
Aizawa turned his attention towards me.
"Yes, Narikawa?" he said, raising an eyebrow slightly.
"I'm guessing this means no one was expelled and that we showed you we belonged in this course?"
Aizawa nodded, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"That's correct," he said. "This year's test results have been quite impressive, and I have no reason to expel any of you. You all demonstrated that you have what it takes to become heroes."
The other students breathed a collective sigh of relief, glad to have avoided expulsion. They exchanged looks of surprise and excitement, happy that they had all made it through the first day of school.
"With that, we're done here. There are handouts with the curriculum and such in the classroom so when you get back, look over them." Aizawa announced before walking away.
The students began to disperse, chatting amongst themselves about their performances and the results. Some of them looked a bit disappointed in their placement, while others were still riding high from their success.
There is no Mineta in this version. In reality Mineta would never be allowed near anyone, especially in a hero school. That's why I added in an OC named Kai Hikari.
