MHA: Kitsune (Kyuubi)

Kyushiro Kurama, a boy blessed since birth with a loving family and a powerful, unique quirk. As a result of all the praise he received since the age of 4, the boy grew to become overly confident and cocky - but he deserved to be. After all, he was not only strong but also smart. Applying into U.A., Kyushiro didn't really care too much about being a hero. All he wanted was a challenge; something to rile him up and ignite the flame within him. And, fortunately for him, that was exactly what he would earn once getting into U.A. Warnings/Tags: - NOT a Reincarnated MC: MC is neither reincarnated nor transmigrated. He is born in the MHA verse and therefore has no future knowledge of it. - Strong to OP MC: MC is very strong in the beginning, and gets even more OP over time. However, he will have losses which contribute to his character development. - MC with no Backstory: Although he's the MC, he's not a tragic one. He was born into a happy and loving family, and grew up with the same happy and loving family with nothing majorly bad happening to them. - Slow/Mid-Paced Romance: I like fics with romance (Can't imagine living a life without a lover). Romance isn't really the main focus of this fic, but it will be involved. - Slice of Life: As this is set in a school, there will be a few filler-like SoL chapters with MC interacting and hanging out with his classmates/friends. This will be a major thing when dorms become a thing in the future

Chapter 1: Welcome To The Hero Course

A/N: For any readers of my Fairy Tail Fic - I haven't dropped it. It's just on Hiatus right now until I feel motivated again to write and plan out a bit more of the story. So rather than writing a smut fic for now, I wanted to do this.

A round-faced boy with fluffy dark-green hair and large green eyes the same shade as his hair was initially worried about his Entrance Exam Results. About a minute ago, his mother had come running up to him with a letter in hand imprinted by "U.A.".

Currently, with tears streaming down his face, he looked at the muscular blonde man on the screen of the projector that came from his letter with his mouth trembling in surprise, shock, and joy.

"You're in" All Might, the number 1 hero, the Symbol of Peace, smiled as he thrust his arm out towards him, "Come now, Midoriya! This will your hero academy!" He congratulated the boy who goes by the name of Izuku Midoriya.

Rubbing his wet eyes, Izuku shouted ecstatically, "YEAHHHHHHH!!" This was the high school he dreamed of, one he would've never achieved if it weren't for his teacher, All Might, passing down his quirk onto him.

Once All Might waved goodbye to Izuku, the rankings appeared which allowed the boy to look at his placement: "60 Points, 8th Place" His eyes widened, surprised that he managed to make it into the top 10, "I'm assuming Kacchan got- Wait, what?! Kacchan got 2nd place?!" The boy shouted in confusion, "Who could possibly beat him..." He muttered to himself as his eyes looked up at the person who took first place, "'Kyushiro Kurama'" He read, "1-102 points... wow..." His mouth gaped open, clenching his fist as he deduced there was a whole 42-point difference between him and first place, "I wonder what kind of person he- or she- is... their quirk must be pretty strong to be able to beat even Kacchan".

Meanwhile, in a dark room with the only light sources being from the projector sent by U.A. and a rather expensive-looking monitor, slurping could be heard as a handsome white-haired figure could be seen leaning coolly against the back of his chair, one leg crossed over the other as he enjoyed his fresh noodles

"Too easy... what a shame, I expected better from U.A. *Slurrrppp*" With a loud pop from his mouth, he went for more noodles but realised there weren't any left, "Aw man~ Looks like I need to make some more-" As he went to stand up and refill his bowl, a MeTube notification appeared on his monitor which he read aloud, "'Jojo's... part 7... anime announcement'?! Fuck yeah!" He shouted in delight, tripping on his chair which sent him landing face-first on his carpet floor.

A month had passed, and spring season had arrived. It was now April, the start of the first year of high school for Izuku Midoriya and others in the same year as him.

When he arrived relatively late to his class, 1-A, he witnessed his childhood friend and now-kind of-enemy/rival(?) Katsuki Bakugo, who he refers to as "Kacchan", argue with a familiar tall, blue-haired boy with glasses who referred to himself as "Tenya Ida".

Iida had walked over to himself and congratulated him for "Perceiving the true nature of the practical exam", which he tried to deny but it entered deaf ears. Shortly after, a girl with shoulder-length brown hair entered the class and waved to Izuku, causing him to flush and look away as she spoke to him.

As they spoke, a deep voice entered their ears, "If you're here to socialise, then get out" The voice caused them to jump. They looked down, and much to their astonishment, they saw a sleeping bag on the floor with a man inside it staring at them with dead eyes.

"This is... the hero course" He clarified as he pulled out a carton of juice from his sleeping bag and drank it, crushing the carton as he stepped out of his sleeping bag and threw it in the trash can in the corner of the room.

The man walked to the front of the class, observing the class with some disapproval evident on his face, "It took 8 seconds for you to quiet down. Time is a precious resource, you guys aren't very rational, are you?" He began to dig into his sleeping bag, "The name's Shota Aizawa, I'll be your homeroom teacher. Pleased to meet...-" As he scanned the class and did a mental headcount, he scoffed in annoyance, "-Seriously? It's the first day, and one of you are already late" He shook his head, "What an unreliable bunch. Whatever" Aizawa took his hand out of the sleeping bag to reveal a uniform, "Change into your gym clothes and-"

Suddenly, interrupting Aizawa and causing the heads of everyone to turn towards the door, a rather tall boy with short white hair entered the room. His charming features captured the interest of most of the class instantly, such as his stunning red eyes. However, what caught everyone's eyes the most caused them to look above his head to see white wolf-like ears [Images].

"Uwahhh..." The boy yawned, his school uniform a mess and dark bags under his eyes which made his tiredness evident, "Mmm..." He groaned, rubbing his restless eyes as he took a few silent seconds to look around his new classroom, his new classmates looking at him with curious gazes whilst his teacher glared at him, "Sorry I'm late, teach. Where do I sit?" He asked.

"No where" Aizawa answered, the tone in his voice signalling his slight anger at the late student, "You're lucky it's the first day, so technically I can't give you detention" His statement caused the boy to show a small smile on his face, "However. That doesn't mean you won't be dealt with once I've deemed you guys worthy of teaching" Aizawa finished, causing the boy to droop and groan.

Taking notice of Aizawa's words and phrasing, the brown-haired girl raised her hand curiously and asked, "What do you mean-"

Unfortunately for her, and the other students who paid attention to Aizawa's words, Aizawa interrupted her question, "Enough chatting. Everyone to the field after changing into your gym clothes" With a grunt, Aizawa left the class to get changed.

Aizawa bunched up his new class in front of him, announcing to them that they would participate in "A test... of our quirks?!" They questioned prematurely, some of the class worried about the fact they're missing the Entrance Ceremony and Guidance Sessions going on currently.

"No time to waste on that stuff if you want to become heroes" Aizawa bluntly stated, earning shrugs of the shoulders of students who seemed to agree with his words, muttering or thinking a small 'Fair Enough', "U.A. is known for its "Freestyle" educational system. That applies to us teachers as well" He said before listing a few activities, "Softball throwing; The standing long jump; The 50-meter Dash; Endurance Running; Grip Strength; Side-To-Side Steeping; Upper-body Strength, and Seated Toe Touch. You did all these in middle school, yes? Your standard no-quirks-allowed gym tests"

The class nodded at his words, allowing him to carry on as they wondered where he was going with this, "This country still insists on prohibiting quirks when calculating the averages of those records. It's not rational, if I do say so myself. The department of education is just procrastinating..." Aizawa then looked at the white-haired boy, 'He's got a Mutant quirk, so...', "Bakugo" He called out to the 2nd place boy, someone with short, spiky, sandy blond hair and sharp, bright red eyes, "How far could you throw in middle school?" He questioned the boy

"67 meters" He answered, his mouth twisted into a natural frown.

"Great" Aizawa urged the boy to step forward and stand in the middle of the circle, "Now try it with your quirk. Do whatever you need to, just don't leave the circle" He instructed, earning a nod from Bakugo, "Give it all you've got" Aizawa said as he stepped back and took out a hand-held device from his pocket.

"Awesome" Bakugo snickered as he stretched his arms a little before lifting his leg up and winding his arm back, resembling a throw similar to that of a pitcher in baseball, "DIE!" He shouted once the ball left his hand, a large and loud explosion sending it flying as the students were pushed back a little from the firepower.

After a few seconds, the device in Aizawa's hand beeped before he turned it around and showed off a score of 705.2m to the class, "It's important for us to know our limits" He begun, putting the device in his pocket, "That's the first rational step to figuring out what kinda heroes you'll be"

Most of the class began to childishly jump around and cheer, "Woah! This is Awesome!" Another gasped at Bakugo's score, "So we can use our quirks for real! This hero course is awesome!"

The students heard Aizawa chuckle dangerously, "'Awesome', you say...? Hah!" He brought his hand up to his face and began to laugh manically, sending shivers down the spines of any who heard him, "You're hoping to become heroes after 3 years here..." He lowered his hand, revealing his face shadowed by his hair, "And you think it'll be all fun and games?" He asked, the words stuck in the lumps of the students' throats, "Right. Let's make this really fun, shall we? Whoever scores last will be deemed worthless... and will be expelled"

"WHAAA!?" The students choked. They had just gotten through the Entrance Exams recently and got accepted into U.A., and now one of them's about to be expelled on the first day? How is this fair!?

"Your fates are in our hands" Aizawa grinned, running his hand through his hair, "Welcome... to the hero course of U.A."
