Chapter 13: A little family moment

General POV

After the little fight Joseph and Chimwemwe's they drove to a hospital to get Chimwemwe patched up. After that Joseph drove Chimwemwe home and it was a good thing the electro-magnetic user was always given a spare key on every time he stepped out of the house.

"So Chimzey what's the story." Joseph asked his nephew as they sat by the living room.

Chimwemwe sighed as he couldn't see any way out of this so he decided to come clean.

"Well, that year ago when I came to the gym all bruised, I was coming back from visiting my friend's Matthew's house and I saw a suspicious looking guy the silent quirk user kidnapping a street kid. I saw him forcibly bring him around the conner I decided to call the police and went around the conner to see where they went so, I could give a better description of where they went.

After I went to the conner I saw men throwing other kids into a van. Next thing I knew the silent quirk user tried to blindside me and also tried to load into the van. After I broke free, I fought all the villains and barely managed to beat them and well you know the rest." Chimwemwe finished and Joseph was deep in though.

'Kidnapping street kids.' Joseph thought about a bit. "Were they part Kujitenga?"

"Yeah, they were."

"Chimzey why didn't you tell anyone you do understand that Kujitenga are terrorists right?"

"I know am sorry." Chimwemwe said guilt he admitted it was a pretty dumb move. To say the truth he didn't think that they would actively come after him after the incident especially after a year had passed.

"Huh but why they kidnaping homeless children though?" Joseph thought to himself out loud scratching his chin.

"Maybe the thought nobody would care." Chimwemwe answered.

"Hm?" Joseph looked Chimwemwe raising his eyebrow.

"Well to be honest from what little I know there is little to no care about the homeless here in Nyasaland or most countries in Africa in general. So maybe kidnaping was them was an easy way to get away with the kidnaping and do what ever they do to them." Chimwemwe finished.

'Well it makes sense I when considering there have been little missing people cases even when Takhar looked into it. But if there snatching the homeless, what could they want with them I know most of them they got don't have powerful quirks. Are they that desperate for man power or are they doing something else with them?' Joseph thought and the only answer he thought was selling them off to the black market for extra cash to keep themselves operational.

'Fuck I'll Patrick later but for now.' He than looked back at Chimwemwe. "So am how are we going to explain this to your aunt and agogo?"

"WAIT HOLD UP!!" Chimwemwe yelled in surprise.

"Oh come Chimzey you basically targeted by a terrorist organization I think they have a right to know more than anybody."

"Yeah, but can't we keep this between us."

"Look kid those too have more of a right to know about that's going especially to you more than anyone."

"Oh, come on man."

"Just what the hell are you so scared off."

"Uncle J these are African women man they won't hold back on me after they find out what happened. First there's the ass beatings, then the intensive scolding, followed by the creative labour punishments and when you think there done, they take you stuff Uncle J." Now Chimwemwe didn't really get in trouble much in this world due to him being mentally older so he didn't get much punishments plus his aunt were a little on the softer side but only a 'LITTLE' both women really knew how to hit heavy.

Memories of his past life's mom punishments weren't really helping either.

"Chimzey look I understand man trust me I do but this is a really serious issue we can't keep this from them for your safety and mine because I prefer not getting screamed in several different languages."

"Don't you work for Tahkar I thought you guys were taking of Kujitenga."

"Wait how the hell do you know about that?"

"I heard you talking to miss Matilda one time." No way was he going to say he recorded their conversation one time.

"Okay okay I know am not supposed to be doing this and it will bite me in the ass later. So, I won't tell a her what happened." Joseph made a mental note to not talk abiut those kinds of matters when Chimwemwe was anywhere around the area.

"Thanks Uncle J."

"But if something like this happens again, you'll have to tell them Chimzey I can't really cover for you forever." Chimwemwe just gave a thumbs up at that.

"So, Uncle how did you beat all those villains anyway?" Chimwemwe was curious ion how strong his uncle was but in general had that curiosity with his aunt as well as she had the power and skills to be a really strong hero yet she didn't.

Before Joseph could answer the door suddenly opened revealing Minerva before she could greet them, she saw was her nephew in some bandages. She flash-stepped in front of him and began frantically checking him.

"So- I mean nephew are you alright happened!" Her voice was filled with worry.

"Am fine Auntie." Chimwemwe said as the he saw his aunt's eyes get sharper as she turned her attention to his uncle.

"JOSEPH NDI WA CHITSIRU!" She yelled at him and got in his face angrliy. "I let you pick him up for one day and this happened to him." Her voice was getting deeper.

"Auntie." Chimwemwe called out to her and she turned to him. "It wasn't uncle J's fault there was a villain attack in town today and we got caught in the today."

"Explain now." She said to the both of them.

"W-well we were just coming back from school and there was a villain attack on the road. One of the villain's attacks hit the tires of uncle J's car leading it to lose control and me getting these injures. Uncle J rushed me to the hospital while taking some hits from stray attacks by the fight as you can see through his slightly damaged clothes." Chimwemwe was technically lied and told the truth.

"Little boy if you're lying. Hm if you are lying to me than say goodbye to your pc, and your ass will not know peace for the week and..."

"Minerva take it easy on the kid his telling the truth you can check the news there was an actual villain attack on Mwanza street if you want more proof my car is at the mechanic right now, I mean you didn't see my car here right." Joseph chipped in and Chimwemwe worded a 'thank you'.

Minerva actually didn't actually see Joseph's car when she got there and she also checked the news to confirm their story when she saw there was an actual a villain attack.

"Huh there was a villain attack on Mwanza Street." She mumbled as she searched the news on her phone and the two males behind her fist bumped in victory. She put her phone in her pockets and glared and the two. "You're both got lucky." She huffed. "Well two had quick the day I'll make you something for the both of you." She went to the kitchen in a little hurry even though I wasn't even close to dinner time but the two didn't question it.

"Well, that went well. Goo.." Chimwemwe than gave quickly gave Joseph the shush sigh.

"She has super hearing remember." He whispered as low as he could and Joseph cursed himself for forgetting that.

Sometime later

The three where sat on the table in the dinning room eating some spicy yellow rice and chicken.

"Um Chicky I wanted to ask when is your school closing date again." Minerva asked him.

"Oh, um on the 17th of July why?"

"It's a one-month holiday right." He nodded. "Okay you got three weeks to go but it's still a little bit of a problem."

"Why what's going on."

"Well, a good client of mine offered me a job but its outside the country and he said it was at least a one-month job." She explained.

"Really that's amazing auntie so where's the job?"

"In Japan."

"So, what's the problem than Minerva?" Joseph asked her.

"Well, the flight is scheduled to be next week and the main is who Chicky is going to stay with to finish his third term. Mom is out of the question since she lives in Kabwe with plans of moving to Solwezi and Matilda won't be much help either for reasons we both know."

Minerva sighed she didn't won't to deny the job it was a good opportunity but where her kid was going to stay was the issue and no way in hell was, she leaving him unsupervised for a month.

"You know he can stay with me for that time period." Joseph offered getting surprised looks from the duo. "What I finally got a proper apartment place which is big enough plus I live a little close by to his school so it will be okay."

"Um Joseph um not sure that's a good idea especially with your actual job."

"Minerva trusts me am going to do my very best to look after him and if any harm comes his way it WILL be on me so, please give me a chance." Joseph dark eyes turned electric blue and looked deep into Minerva's golden slitted ones.

The two where looking at each other for a while till each other for a while that Chimwemwe let out a fake cough snapping them out of the little trance.

"R-right okay Joesph since you're the fastest option I'll let you look after him." She crossed her arms under her chest. "But I will be checking in frequently and if something happens don't hesitant to call me or my mom okay so no hiding stuff." She poked his chest a little playfully.

"Don't worry I'll be responsible." He grabbed her hand but she didn't slash him this time but also held his hand and smiled.

"You better be."

"Um sorry to interrupt your moment you guys but Auntie what is your job in Japan?" Chimwemwe got their attention and they separated.

"Oh am going to be a bodyguard, translator and secretary of this company boss."

"HUH!!" The two males were confused.

"What!"

"Um Auntie I understand you being a bodyguard but translator you don't even speak Japanese, Chichewa, Arabic, Chinyanja, Swahili, French and Koreen yes but not Japanese. And secretary I've seen you'll website and that was not in your description." Chimwemwe was starting to question if she had some started flase advertising.

"I already told him that but he said he really just needed a bodyguard and he thought that since I spoke many local languages and 3 foreign one, he thought maybe Japanese was one of them so he'll take care of those other two thing." She shoulders shrugged. "You guys want seconds?" She asked and they nodded.

3 days later

Chimwemwe's POV

After Auntie told me about her trip to Japan it thinks about the type of world which I was in. I've been here for 7 years now and memories of the canon where slowly slipping away hell the only reason I remember most of it is because I kept on seeing heroes like All might and Endeavor on YouTube and thirst comments and images of heroines like Midnight, and shining up starters like Miriko and Ryuku and some others from other countries.

I really don't know who old the last two where in the canon but I think they were in their mid-twenties at that time. Now they were in their early twenties meaning I was part of the main cast generation but speaking of the canon. I remember the self-clamed demon lord All for One and the walking disaster Shigaraki and pretty much the whole league of villains.

As cruel as it sounds, they weren't my problem for now as a terrorist organization is after my dumb ass now after I basically fucked up one of there kidnapping plans. I don't know if they'll keep coming after me or not but I better stay sharp.

I felt someone poke me with their finger and I saw Suiw looking at me in worry we we're in math class which ended early due to us our class being close to finishing the syllabus fast so the class which only had 12 out of the normal 28 students was just left to do whatever so kids were just chatting to since it was only 37 minutes till it was 12:00 and knock of time due it being a Friday.

"Are you okay chick you look distracted.' She asked me.

"No worries I was thinking about personal stuff."

"Oh, you mean your aunt's trip to Japan."

"How the hell do you know about that?"

"Your aunt told my mom unless you forgot they're friends." She said amused. "But she's really lucky I never been to any Asian countries before the furthest I've gone was Nigeria."

"Really man good for you the furthest I've gone was Blantyre and that was because my aunt wanted to show off how fast she was so she carried me there."

"Wait you never told me that story before how fast did she go and how long did it take for you guys to reach Bts?"

"Well it took us about 20 minutes to get there and with the distance from Lusaka to Blantyre it was about 79 minutes to get there so I guess about 547.456 km per hour." I calculated but she said she was just taking it easy for my sake.

"That fast wow why didn't your aunt become a hero with power like that and wait can cheetahs even run that fast." She questioned while putting her hand on her cheek.

"The last is no cheetah's run they can only run up to 120 km per hour and for the second one I really don't know I never really asked."

"Oh~ must run in the family huh~." She teased while nudging me a bit.

Now that I think about it no one in my family I know of be it my mom's or dad's side are heroes besides having good quirks. Agogo was basically a strong lioness who was built a little like an amazon, auntie was a cheetah woman who had good martial prowess and could probably reach the speed of sound and uncle J was really good at boxing and had a quirk which made him invulnerable.

If someone were to hear all that, he/she would be surprised if we weren't some sort of hero family in this type of society.

"Oh, hey speaking of which Monday is Mtendere day meaning we have a long weekend what are you going to do. You know besides going to train with the others"

"Well also besides sorting out some stuff before auntie leaves, I thought I would hang out with Matthew for a bit. I haven't been seeing much of him lately and every time I do I he's been off but also practice my computer skills."

"Pft~. Nerd~. But call me if you want an extra since I also haven't spoken to him in a while but not on tomorrow am going to my friends Ngai's house."

The two contuined to chat a little as till it was time to knock off. The two exited class and saw Matthew come out of class 3-C and when I looked closely he seemed to have bags under his eyes.

"Hey Matthew~." Suiw sweetly called out to him making him jump as he waved at her. His crush on her didn't fade over time but seemed to increase a little.

"H-hey Suiw and Chimwemwe how have you been? And of course you two are together." He asked us like we haven't spoken in years or something but I heard him mumble the last part in jealousy.

"Nothing much just doing but why are speaking a little formally?"

"Yeah, Matthew why are you talking like that here I thought we were friends not strangers~." Again Suiw pulling her over dramatic act and I just rolled my eyes but Matthew began freaking out as we walked.

"No no its's not that it's just been a long week." He said a little tired and looked at the two of us with so much seriousness I was a little surprised as we were close to the car park. "Suiw Chimwemwe, can I ask you two something."

"Yeah, sure man."

"Sure, Matthew we won't bite~.

"Do you both think even with my useless quirk I could become a hero?" Me and Suiw said in surprise as Matthew looked at us like he was begging for something and before either of us could answer. "I-it's okay I probably know you answers I'll see you guys later." He left in a hurry as he began taking minibuses to his home.

Suiw and I turned and looked at each other both of us we're worried well she was more confused on whats happening.
