UNEXPECTED INTERLUDE

"We will take an interlude at the nearest inn," Wu let out a sigh before he surveyed her, "The nearest inn would still be an hour away." Yue simply nodded as he apprised her of their current situation.

And silence enfolded them yet once again. Yue's eyes were starting to become heavy once more as the atmosphere progressed to grow colder and damper. It wasn't long before the unanticipated sound of the rain filled her ears. The pitter patter over the roof of the carriage notified her of the change in weather with the arrival of the rain. While she was already feeling to grow cold, the rain only added up to her problem.

Her fingers formed a firm clench against the surface of her cloak which she drew closer to her chest as the temperature without any obstructions continued to drop.
