A loud rumble filled the hitherto tranquil environment. The thunder came as an emotional roller coaster when twinned with the earthbound lightning. It came as if to enrich the cloud-conjured sense of midnight. The storm had been prepping for a while now to make it's grand appearance and was nearing it's big recital.

The ear shattering sound that followed a flash of lightning made Yue's entire structure shiver out of the unexpected thunder. Wu instinctively leaped forth to grab her and sweep her into his strong arms but he held back being wary of her delicate condition in the moment. The temperature was once again initiating his decline.

Wu's fingers curled harder against his own cloak in hand as he watched a shiver go down her spine due to the growing cold, which was apparently becoming unbearable for her. He could not continue to watch her suffer any longer. It was excruciating for him to witness Yue in such a state.
