The Meeting

Rise and Shine everyone. This is my first day! I'm scared yet excited.

I'm currently fixing and checking my things before going to school. Actually, it's walking distance from school and here at our house. That's why I'm not so bothered to wake up late.

Since no one's home, I decided to not eat breakfast and just go to school without eating anything.

What a nice day. Since I'm early the sun is so refreshing. Plus, walking is an exercise I feel like. My body is recharging.

While walking I see someone that I recognize to the class that Ma'am Deveza introduces me. I'm not sure tho, but I need to find out so I can have someone to go with me to school.

I go to him and approach him. I'm kinda shy but I need to do this.

"Hi? I'm Wendi Alex, you're one of my classmates right?" I ask him.

"Hello." He said and just nod to me.

"Would you mind if I ask your name?"

"Nope, I don't. I'm Cyriel John Cansino," he said, then offer his hand to me.

"I'm Wendi Alex, in case you've forgotten," I said to him and take his hand for a handshake. Not bad as I thought.

"How can I forget?"

"Pardon?"

"I said, How can I forget your name? You introduce your name yesterday nd you say your name twice today. So, How can I forget?"

"Yeah right."

"I'll go ahead then. Nice meeting you Alex!"

"aish, don't call me in my second name."

"You're not the boss of me. So, I'll call you what I want to call you. Bye, See you!" He didn't even wait for my response and just go.

I thought I would have someone to go with me. But in the end, I'm still alone to go to school. But it's fine, at least I already knew someone from our class.

I try to go after him but I didn't catch up with him. It's like he doesn't want to go with me at all.

I can already see the gate of our school. This is it.

"Good Morning." the guard greeted me.

"Good Morning too." I greeted back.

Wow, they're nice. I can see that they're all disciplined. I can see the students are lineup for the flag ceremony. Aish, Where should I go? It looks like, they're lined up according to section. I hope I can recognize someone from our class. That CJ didn't even bother to help me.

"Hey! Wendi." Someone called, I immediately look even though I'm not sure if I'm the one that they're calling.

"Yes?" Are they my classmates? Or It's not me that they're calling.

"we're classmates? Do you recognize us?"

"Sorry, I don't. But super thank you."

"You're welcome! Come with us, let's go to our line?"

"Really? Thank you, it's really okay if I join you guys?"

"We're fine. You're new here, we're here to help you." She said and wink at me.

Waaaah, they're so nice. How lucky am I!

I followed them to go to our line.

"By the way, we forget to introduce ourselves. I'm Cris Daine Perez, the tallest in our group. "

"Hi! I'm Eden Gabiola and as you can see, I'm the shortest one and the one has very long hair."

"Eris Jane is the name, the cutest."

"I'm Paulene Mae. Nice to meet you."

"Hello! I'm Wendi Alex, you can call me Wen or Wendi. Nice meeting you all."

"Now that we all introduce ourselves to each other, should we fall in line before the teacher might scold us? Let's continue later our getting to know each other." Cris Daine said.

We immediately line up because the national anthem is already playing. We almost caught talking but Cris Daine prevents us from getting scolded. After, some songs about the school. The principal announces something that I didn't get. Maybe, it's an upcoming event for our school. But after that, we go to our room, once they called our section. It's very organized. I didn't expect something like this, that's why I find it so amusing.

"Wendi, Let's go!" Paulene called me. I didn't even know that we already called.

I'm so fed up with my thoughts.

"Ah, yeah. Let's go!"

We all waiting for our professor here in front of the room. Like, she's the one who'll open the door of our classroom.

"Miss Jamco? Did anyone see Ms. Jamco?" Ma'am asked.

"Yes Ma'am? I'm in here." I said while raising my hand.

"Since you're here, everyone gets in. Miss Jamco wait here. I'll just find a vacant sit for you." She said and I just nodded.

After I've been called by Ma'am Deveza. She assigned me to sit between two boys. It's no big deal to me at all since. I'm always being around by boys since I have 3 brothers. But I think they are not familiar with it, because I can feel they're stares like they want to hurt me by their looks.

Luckily, CJ is one of my seatmates and the other one. If I'm not mistaken he's name is Damon Rafael Laurente. Ma'am Deveza said, CJ is also a transferee and Damon is a returnee. So, it's like we three are back to zero.

I don't know if I'm lucky to have seatmates that are both boys or just unlucky. Luckily, because they're both quiet and I could focus more on study or Unlucky because I think they will be the reason why my other classmates are will be mad at me.

I admit they're both good looking. That's why some of our classmates adore them, but I don't think that just because they adore them. They will be mad at me.

But I choose to ignore them. I will not be affected, 'cause I'm here to study not to please everybody.
