The Final Test

Jim finally grabbed the sphere and when he did it turned pitch black.

Contrary to when Hiroto touched it there was no light coming out from it.

It seemed almost like it absorbed all light around it. Out of shock Jim let go of the spere and it fell to the floor. 

When he pulled his eyes of the crystal ball again he looked at the tip of a sword.

Hiroto had his blade drawn and his friends looked shocked at Jim and the ball.

All the servants had left the room before the test had taken place because Hiroto had a bad feeling before doing the test.

Jim quickly put his hands in the air as a sign of surrender. 

"What does all this mean. Why are you pointing a weapon at me?"

Jim stuttered while speking. He hadnt expected a reaction like that to this test.

"Jim i am affraid i cant let you go. You see normally humans dont have a reaction to the test since they dont have any powers. The reaction you showed however is one that i only have seen once in my entire life." Hiroto had a sad expression on his face while he was speaking. He had a good heart and saw the same in Jim. He didnt want to take them prisoner but he had to, so he called three servants.

Before he sent them away he ensured the group that it was only temporary.

He told them that he would have to make some further investigation into Jim and his past. He also told them that he would explain everything to them once he had the answers he needed.

The group was led to the smallest house. it was a two story building that had multiple apartments on the inside. The whole house was empty but it didnt look like a jail. It looked more like a guest house wich calmed the group a little. When they arrived at their apartment they where pleasantly supprised. They where led into a small three bedroom apartment with one livingroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. But the good news quickly ended because as soon as they entered the apartment was locked from the outside.

The first person to speak was Jim, he asked if the others knew anything about the test and what the black sphere meant but no one was able to give him a satisfying answer. Morticia asked Jim if she could borrow some of his power, she explained that she thought that she could maybe tell him what he was if it was something she had felt before.

Jim agreed to the plan so Morticia took some of his energy but when she did sche felt a power enter her body that was totaly unfamiliar to her, the energy felt darker than any demon power she had ever felt. She felt the power take over her body but befor that could happen she released it all, burning a hole through the wall in the process.

The three of them looked at the hole in dissbelieve. All eyes where on Jim, he himself couldnt believe that this was supposed to be his own power, he tried to gett some of the energy out on his hands but he couldnt do it.

They decided to sit down in the living room and make a plan. "I think we should just wait for them to let us out, Jim i dont think you have any bad intentions and i think that they will see that aswell. I trust my grandfather." Morticia wasnt as scared as the other two, she knew the 15th and knew that Hiroto wouldnt do anything to harm them, she knew that he just wanted to protect the demon city. He had already said that he was going to help them to figure things out for Jim. 

"I think we should try to get out of here, but i think its Jims choice since he is the one thats life is on the line because we dont know what will happen if he doesnt get aut in time." 

All the eyes where on Jim as soon as Ophelia finished her sentence.

Jim didnt really know what to do. so he said that he wanted to wait till tomorrow to decide.

Since no one was against Jim deciding, just in case they scouted the area for any potential escape routs. After they had found three paths that wherent guarded they decided to go to bed and wait for what will happen the next day.

The next morning they heard a loud knock on the door and as it swung open, two servants came in and aked Jim to come with them.
