"Mr.Zheng"
His voice was turned to effectlessness just when his side sight glimpsed at ChangXi's scowling and the dark aroma encircling her face; furthermore, he felt her hot breath bang the soft skin of his edgy nose.
With one head shake, Mr.Zheng came back to consciousness. "I think I forgot something. Let me excuse myself then." He bowed, and with stumbling steps, he rushed outside the staff room and shut the door behind him.
Irish Wu turned his head at a slow pace towards her as she said darkly, "I'm single."
He dropped his hand and leaned back, but her grip fenced him from doing that. "Sorry, I don't like girls who have been kissed by someone else," he said, hopefully expecting that she would loosen the grip.
To betray his expectations, she remained like that and even asserted, "I will make you go crazy for me! I promise."
"Hey, don't promise what you can't." He advisably said and continued, "It's supposed to be a challenge. If it is, then let me inform you of my challenge."
She was perplexed in no time.
"I will make you fall for Geng Xi again!" He said it vehemently, with a tinge of smirtle.
"Ha, good luck then!" She shoved him by the collar and left him as he coughed because of the strong influence of her push, and he sent a gawp look at her leaving the staff room.
At lunch hour.
ChangXi and Fanqia sat together at the table.
Suilin glimpsed the beautiful girl from class A of Rang 11 chatting with her friends while having lunch in canteen. Instantly, he geared up his feet for that table. But GengXi's hand clutched his hoodie, dragging along with him once he spotted ChangXi smiling delicately at her plate before taking a bit of fresh meat.
As for ChangXi, if anyone asked what's your unforgettable moment, she would say it was lunch break at school. Because, since she joined the school, the place that filled her stomach was the school canteen. Until then, she had only bread and an egg. Sometimes, it's more than that but below average.
But her father is poor; how can he pay the fees for lunch?
Of course, he can't! And didn't!
If that was your question, the answer will be revealed soon after some chapters.
GengXi sat straight directly at ChangXi, and Suilin was next to him, letting out a disgruntled sigh. As GengXi scanned ChangXi's plate, which was short of meat, he offered all of his meat quickly.
The poor boy was clueless that she had eaten all of them already, and that was what her buffy mouth was munching right now.
Noticing more of it, ChangXi took advantage. Without delay, she clipped all of that meat at once using a chopstick and padded it into a wide mouth to mince it all at once, causing GengXi to regret acting kindly to her.
GengXi was short of meat now; he looked at his plate, which had only cooked rice and veggies.
Fanqia and Suilin were grinning at him silently as he whirled out a discouraged sigh through his lips with the slackened shoulder.
Li Gi was the only person sitting at the corner of the last table, having lunch alone as the rumbles of students aroused with each bit of food.
After two periods later, the sports hours started. Everyone assembled after roaming along the verandah at intervals. ChangXi kept sending a frantic look at Krish, who was teaching some random exercise, before going to let them play.
"Going to hook me up with him? Ha, let's see!"
She talked to herself as she fixedly glared at him.
He clapped two times and said, "Okay, let's start playing, guys!"
As everyone headed to play, ChangXi only headed to run track and began to run alone. Is she going to run? Is that what playing means to her? He asked himself, perplexed by her weird attitude.
He then turned to monitor every other student. Once he caught sight of Fanqia playing with other students and ChangXi was a little far from her, a bell sound rang inside his head as if he had an idea for something.
"Fanqia," he called out her name.
"Yes!" She gave a sound back while first hitting back the volleyball and turned to him.
"Come here," he said, moving under the shady tree as she ran to him.
She came standing in a standardised position to express respect. "Yes, sir." Her voice carried a tinge of gasps.
"No need to be formal; stand comfortably," he said, gesturing to untie her hands. She came to a normal position.
"Is she always stupid like this, or is she doing it purposefully?" He looked at ChangXi running along the deserted run track.
Fanqia gave her a glimpse before asking, "What exactly are you asking, sir? Are you asking why she is running alone like this, or is this about why she is chasing after you carzily?"
"Mmmm...." trailing off and scratching his side forehead using his index finger, he nodded. "Both."
"She is not stupid or doesn't do it purposely, sir. She just wants to be true to herself," she said, and as he subtly narrowed his eyes in dubiousness, she continued with examples.
"Like...doing what she likes without minding gossip. She can't lie, and for the word you say stupidity... Yeah! she is. But a little bit. She can't address what the device is but will get angry easily if anyone tries to hurt her."
Krish Wu nodded as he listened to all her words, but in reality, that nod was for formalities only. He just skipped all of her descriptions. Actually, his motivation was to get to know about her relationship with GengXi; he just drew an unnecessary question to pull her into the conversation.
"If you don't mind, can you tell me when ChangXi dropped her love on GengXi?" he asked hesitantly.
"Mmm... It was soon after the day she proposed to him."
"Within a day?" He couldn't believe her answer because he knew about ChangXi's craziness over love that he had been experiencing since the morning.
She nodded only but was firm with it.
"What happened exactly to give up on her love so easily?"
He asked, jumping into curiosity, inhaling air deeply at a slow pace as he fixed his sight on her closed lips, expecting her to open up because the upcoming answer was the most essential to him, which was going to lend a hand to the victory against ChangXi.
