Chapter 1

"I can smell her" the words he thought that he will never say because according to him his mate is not present and imagine his shock when he smelled her far from his kingdom in a small town. 

"Whom can you smell, Aiden" Ethan, his Beta the second in command asked him seeing his friend and the king in the confused state. 

"I can smell my mate Ethan" Aiden spoke and these words were left from his mate and his friend was excited for the Queen. 

"Where?" Ethan asked and Aiden focused on the smell and he felt that the smell is coming from the kitchen. He stood from his place and moved towards the smell and being the King, he is known to all the people in the world where werewolves exist and the restaurant, they were in is also not a different one. Seeing him move towards the kitchen, Ethan moved along with him and the people made way for them without any questions asked. 

Aiden entered inside the kitchen and he took a deep breath because the entire kitchen is filled with her smell which made his wolf purr in happiness. 

"My Lord do you need anything?" the owner of the restaurant came and asked the King as he was standing at the entrance of the kitchen. 

"I can smell my mate here but she is not here so I need who all left from here from the past two hours" Aiden ordered the owner and the owner nodded his head looking in fear towards the king. 

"Yes, My Lord" he spoke and moved towards the entrance of the hotel to get the details of the people who entered and left the kitchen from the longer time. He checked the details and found that there is no werewolf who entered into the kitchen which made the owner confused but then he realized that his mate might be human which is impossible considering that he is a king. He moved towards the King who is looking here and there following the smell. 

"My Lord" he spoke and Aiden looked towards him with a frown on his face which deepened looking towards the confused look on his face. 

"She is not here" the owner spoke which made the Aiden furious and he held the neck of the owner and pinned him to the wall making him struggle in his grip. 

"Do you seriously think that I am going to believe that my mate is not here when I can smell her scent all over this place" the angry Alpha King of the werewolves asked gripping the throat of the person who helped his mate to escape from the place in the first place. 

"No, My Lord, she was here yesterday but she left today early morning" the owner spoke with fear in his voice and the Alpha king knew that he is in for a race to find his mate who is hell bent on hiding from him in all the ways she can. 

"I need all the information regarding her" he spoke because even though when he didn't meet her directly till now but he can understand the effect she had on him and this is not going to be good for him. 

"But My Lord, she is a human" the owner spoke and the Alpha King looked at him with a shocked look because it is not possible at all. Never in the generations of their family, they are mated to a human but in contrary they are always mated to the powerful werewolves. 

"Are you sure?" the king asked the person in front of him and the person looked at the king with a fearful look on his face. 

"Yes, My Lord, her scent is all like a human" he spoke and the king nodded his head and left from there in the confusion of this can happen and will the laws of the kingdom will allow for the human mate to the king?

"Leave" Aiden commanded in his commanding voice which made all the werewolves around him to obey the command in a nanosecond and even the smaller number of humans present in the room had also moved away from the room making only Aiden, Ethan and the owner was present in the room. 

"How do you know it?" Aiden asked and the owner trembled in his place. 

"We will interview the person before they enter the kitchen and from the past one week there is no werewolf who entered the kitchen based on the records which means that your mate is a human" the owner spoke and being in the shocked state, Aiden left him on the ground and he took a step back. He knew that having a human mate is not allowed in his family and if Moon Goddess paired him with a human, then there is something in it. 

"Aiden, I think we need to go back to the Kingdom now" Ethan spoke making Aiden look at him with a shocked face. 

"You want me to leave my mate here and come back" Aiden questioned Ethan who looked at his friend with a sad face.

"We don't have any option too Aiden, I think the news would have already reached the Kingdom now and I think the council is not going to be silent now and they will create some problem which can be only avoided if we went there and we can search for your mate here" Ethan spoke and Aiden looked at him with a thoughtful face. 

"But how are we going to search her because we don't know her face and only, I can identify her by the smell" Aiden spoke and Ethan knew that he needs to come up with a plan which can help him to identify the queen. 

"We will gather all the women who entered the Kitchen based on our reviews and will take a back ground check on them" the owner spoke and Aiden looked at him. 

"Yeah, as her scent is prominent in the Kitchen it means that she didn't leave long time ago which narrows down to only some people so I need the information by the end of the day" Aiden ordered the owner and he left the restaurant with Ethan behind him.
