Chapter 6: Suspected of Cheating

She alighted nervously as she stared from round the empty vicinity to the high building. Barely four lights were turned on. Only the few echoes of sounds of wolves howling from a distance could be heard.

However it wasn't so surprising that the shoot could be at night. They were werewolves after all and the night event doesn't really sound stupid.

"Call me " Alpha Christian handed his business card to her before he drove off.

Getting to the venue of the shoot everyone was already present. It was more than just a photo shoot and she wasn't informed about it before but now.

It was a big event at the company and most of her childhood friends in the pack were present. Including the pack officials. Sterling enterprise was a big one in the shadow pack after all.

Dressed in a slender silver gown with a really long slit, she walked down the runway with her mask on.

Though Mercedes and Stephanie are both slim, Mercedes has her own unique features. Her cheek bone and leg were so perfect that they have been once puzzled in the social media as the most beautiful in the world.

Once she stopped in front of the stage she smiled, twisted her legs in a perfect swing and posed so beautifully for the pictures to be taken.

The audience stood up and gave her a deserving ovation.

Including christian who hadn't gone home but stood among the crowd washing how his beautiful A class model mate was replacing the B-class model.

After Mercedes' final pose, the show came to an end. There was no denying it that the moon goddess made her for the runway.

The host was so pleased at her performance

"You did absolutely amazing well, miss Stephanie Brown. To you and every other person that graced this occasion, thank you so much. "

Mercedes stayed silent and only bowed. However before she walked out of the stage there was a silent murmur among the crowd which suddenly grew to an outburst.

"How can you call that sweet long legs Stephanie's? She's our Mercedes Daniels! Masks can't even hide those God damn features"

The claim of doubt continued among the crowd . "You can remove your mask to prove us wrong"

"There must have been a misunderstanding. You shouldn't ignore the fact that Miss brown put so much strength and time into this " The host said, confused. He never knew it was Mercedes that was behind the mask.

" Get rid of the mask! We need face reveal" the crowd cut him short. Shouting and chanting at the top of their voices.

He made her remove the mask and the outburst became even louder

" It's Mercedes!"

They were overjoyed and threw cards and flowers across to her.

Mercedes smiled, almost tearing up. She thought her career had ended and the hate speech from the internet after the incident earlier had left her with no fan at all but this proved the opposite.

"But isn't she stealing her friend's show to make a comeback? After those spiteful words of her " someone said among the crowds.

"I even heard she had an affair with her friend's mate!" Another added.

Unknown to Mercedes that her childhood friends she saw earlier were the ones paid by Stephanie to spread groundless rumors and raise suspicious questions at the event and that was the main reason she wanted Mercedes to attend.

"Filthy cheat! You might have a good body but your mind has always been rotten like hell. Yeah no one. Literally no one wants your apology. You should be banished from the pack!"

Reporters started hovering around Mercedes. Shoving the camera to her face while she hid away in confusion and betrayal. A Lot had already happened in just one day in a row for her and it's beginning to wear her down.

"Miss Daniels, do you confirm and own up to the claims against you? Just a few days ago. You were up the ladder as the best model. Was it one of these tricks that got you there? "

"I.." Mercedes stuttered in confusion. She wasn't prepared for this humiliation.

"I think, Mercedes Daniels, everyone wants you out. You can use your special skills and deceive others but not here. Not in my pack. I am going to make it official at the next full moon gathering, however I still insist that I banish you..." Alpha Daze ordered but words were stolen from his mouth.

"Hold on? "

A husky deep voice spoke from the back.

In Surprise, everyone turned to where the voice was standing from. There standing at the end of the stage was Alpha christian. Their eyes opened wide in shock.

"Banish who exactly? My wife? My mate? " Alpha christian scoffed.
