I thought....I thought that she wasn't going to go anymore..after all, there's no need for her to meet Shen Yu since we signed the contract...." Shen Mingxi said. No one can really guess what is going on on Qiao Anxin's mind. What is she trying to do?!

She already made it clear that she won't involve herself in whatever is going on in the Shen family. So why is she still meeting with Shen Yu?

"You need her help...we need her help. Your father definitely won't dare to act against you if we have the Qiao cooperation backing us. And Qiao Anxin is completely ruthless. You might not want to go too far with Shen Defan because you consider him your father but Qiao Anxin won't have those considerations. She no longer cared what she had to do, she just needs to guard her son's inheritance for him . As for Shen Defan and his illegitimate son, the both of them can go to hell!

She had a lot of regrets in her life, but perhaps her biggest regret was trusting that no matter how horrible of a man he is, Shen Defan still has a conscience. She was a fool for thinking that he will not treat his son badly no matter how much he hates her.

Shen Mingxi still wasn't convinced. He had a feeling that Qiao Anxin won't be so easily fooled. Once she finds out about thier scheme... things are going to take a turn for the worse.

This is more like a gamble, where Qiao Anxin will either become an ally or an enemy in the end.

"Your dad is already meeting with the board members. He wants to kick you out!" Shen Fanxing said.

Shen Mingxi looked at his mother in shock. "He..."

"You consider him a father but he doesn't consider you a son. I won't let my son be silly. Those things should belong to you. Even if you don't want them, you have to take them! I don't care! Just treat Qiao Anxin better in the future!" Shen Fanxing said.

Her words left no more room for argument. That was the end of the conversation .

Shen Mingxi sighed. Once again, the decision has been made for him, and he doesn't have a choice.

At least, this time, he can actually live with this.

Shen Mingxi decided in his heart that he has to treat Qiao Anxin well. He won't give her any reasons to complain when they get married.

And he definitely won't turn out to be an assholes like his father!

Qiao Anhao and Chen Yucheng entered thier home. They went straight to the bedroom ignoring the maids who greeted them as they walked past.

The both of them were lost in thier own thoughts and they had noe spoken to each other all through the ride.

As soon as they entered the house though, Qiao Anhao placed her hand on her hips.

"What was the meaning of that earlier?"
