"I don't know where I'm going with this story. It's been lingering in my drafts for a few years, and I decided to publish it to move on. I don't know if I'll continue it."

(POV BOA)

HAHAHA, this little kid is really worked up, it seems. Looks like he really wants a Pokémon. Look at that cute vein popping up on his forehead; it's almost funny.

He shoots me an angry look because I let a smile show. Truly, this child is too adorable getting upset for no reason.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH, he's too cute. He's on the wrong path; look at him, how embarrassed he is.

On the road, we encountered a group of Spearow, really, these ugly Pokémon. I felt like killing them all as soon as I saw them. They dared to stare at me as if I were prey, these low-level Pokémon.

However, I needed them to assess the young master's mentality. Even though I raised him, this kid is really mature. Besides, he had friends, but he always kept a kind of distance from them, as if he didn't want to get attached. When he came home, he always asked me for new books on the general knowledge of our world instead of asking for toys. This little one has a thirst for knowledge.

However, it's not this kind of mentality I want to know. It's his response to danger that I want to know. I need to know his mentality, whether he's brave, if he's reckless, if he's suicidal, if he's a coward, etc. Then I'll adjust my program based on his temperament.

He got injured during our journey, and it seems I'll have to add some muscle exercises.

He also recognized the Pokémon he's facing immediately. Some trainers, even if they're good at the Pokémon Academy, forget some knowledge like what kind of Pokémon it is or what type it is. If we don't have a Pokédex, this lack of information could be fatal.

At one point, we had to cross a river, but Bellsprout were drinking, and we had to run again. I took the opportunity to observe the little one.

He recognized a Bellsprout and the danger of its poison. This kind of Pokémon, although common, is underestimated because, once captured, it's very gentle, and it has weak poison. But in the wild, negligence towards this Pokémon can kill us. A little poison without an antidote can quickly drain our strength, and then we'll be unprotected against predators.

Once he saw a Bellsprout use Toxic Powder in our direction, he immediately started running. But he didn't notice that some of the Bellsprout's poison had infiltrated his wound, making him slower and getting tired more quickly. But I didn't miss it.

A little later, fatigue takes over, and he wants to stop. I observe him from the corner of my eye and evaluate him. He's injured all over, and he still hasn't noticed the Bellsprout's poison. Especially, he has tears in his eyes, which makes me a little sad for his condition, but I have to strengthen my heart.

I made a decision; his character is too weak. Even if he has solid knowledge of Pokémon, he is mentally very weak.

When we encountered the Spearow, he ran right away. However, he didn't take the time to trust me and stand by my side to see if I would release my Pokémon or not. He doesn't have enough composure to judge the situation calmly.

Then, in the situation with the Bellsprout, even though he reacted quickly, firstly, it wasn't fast enough because he got hit by the poison, and secondly, he didn't check if he was poisoned after finding himself in a calm situation. When facing poison users, we always check if we've been poisoned, even if we haven't felt anything. Poison can take effect slowly, so he's not cautious enough, and I speak from experience. But well, he's only 7 years old, it can be corrected quite easily.

So, I decided to tire him out and shape his mentality a bit. Actually, after his birth, I hesitated to take him for intensive training from a young age, but I chose to let him have a somewhat normal childhood. I didn't want his head to be solely in training; I wanted him to have a life with at least good memories because you never know what life has in store for you.

Then after our little conversation, he fell asleep very quickly. I got out of my tent and approached him to examine his wounds. Once done, I call Seviper and Venusaur for reinforcement, along with Arbok.

"Arbok, go secure the perimeter. There shouldn't be any Pokémon within at least 100m of here. Venusaur, stay with the young master, protect him in case Arbok misses a Pokémon. Also, use Heal to restore him a bit. Seviper, come with me; I need to prepare antidotes for the poison."

My Pokémon nodded before taking their positions.

I go around the area, and luckily, I find some pecha berries. I turn them into liquid form using my expertise in poison, then return to the young master.

Once back, I see a Pokémon asleep next to Venusaur; it escaped Arbok's vigilance. It seems she has rusted; I'll have to give her a little training program too.

"Venusaur, throw it out of the security zone. Don't disturb the young master. No, wait, I have an idea." Ideas flash through my head.

"It's okay; keep it asleep and take it as far as possible until the young master wakes up. Tomorrow, I assure him a lively day."

So, I decided to implement my program.
