" I've been waiting for this since this started." Poseidon spoke, he was currently bent over relacing his boots.
" Looks like it's finally your turn. Are you ready?" Hades asked.
" Yes, Poseidon. Are you ready to prove yourself to the rest of the gods? They think you a thief who simply stole his position. What say you?" Zeus asked.
Poseidon turned towards the man and scowled.
" Doesn't matter what they think. All that matters is I'm going to win right." Poseidon replied.
" Exactly." Zeus stated.
Poseidon picked up his heavy Trident and started walking towards the door to the arena.
" I will win. All right? So don't worry this will be over be you know it." Poseidon looked back and gave a soft nod to his young daughter. He then turned back and walked out of the room to head to the arena.
" And in this corner. POSEIDON!!!"
The Greek side of the stadium exploded into a round of cheers for one of their big gods.
The arena door burst open, and a rapid vortex of water surged into the Arena and began washing out the flames that Amaterasu had ignited on the arena floor, much to her surprise.
Water surrounded the sun goddess on all sides and completely filled the Arena. All but one small circular part of the ring remained above the sea.
" How can this be? My flames were put out." Amaterasu asked in shock.
The waves of water parted and rose into two large walls above the ring and walking through the middle of them was her opponent. Poseidon.
Poseidon walked into the center of the ring and the water fell back to the ground.
" It's time. Let's see what the new god of the sea can do. Thor, Loke. Make sure you both watch this fight closely. You as well Balder. I want to know any and all weaknesses these two have." Odin spoke.
" Yes father."
" Yes sir."
Odin had commanded both his boys and his most trusted guard to make sure to keep a close eye on the new God of Olympus. To determine whether or not his strength posed a threat to asgard... Or not.
" Well, Poseidon, if that's your name, why don't you go ahead and surrender now and make this easy for all of us. We don't want any more unnecessary deaths. Do we?" Amaterasu asked.
" No... We don't." Poseidon replied.
Amaterasu pulled out her sword, it was a long sword, much like Susanoo's Kusanagi and much different from what you would see in Japan. On the hilt of the blade was a golden orb and in the middle of the orb was a mini sun. The hilt itself was red and white like the flare of the sun and the blade was a bright golden color with a red dragon etched onto the blade.
It was as remarkable as she was.
' Tsukuyomi was right.' Amaterasu thought. ' Just being in the same arena as him is making me sweat. His pressure is unbelievable.' Amaterasu gripped the hilt of her sword tightly and swallowed hard.
" No point in turning back now." Amaterasu muttered. She sprung forward and leapt into the air. She raised her sword up above her head and a trail of fire erupted from the blade. " Falling inferno!" Amaterasu slashed downwards and a sharp trail of fire hurtled its way to Poseidon.
Poseidon replied, by twirling his Trident around. A swirl of water rose from the blade's tips and Poseidon stabbed at the fire, stopping it before it could touch him with ease.
But Amaterasu's attack didn't finish, she was still falling towards him with her blade aimed right for his head.
Poseidon inhaled and exhaled a bursting jet of water from his mouth, catching Amaterasu in flight and holding her at bay. Poseidon them channeled a torrent of lightning into the stream of water and sent Amaterasu flying.
" GAHHH!" Amaterasu grunted.
Amaterasu slid along the ground; she used her sword to help slow her momentum least she falls into the water around the ring. Amaterasu relaxed to catch her breath, a mistake she didn't know she made.
Poseidon's grand entrance served him more than just to look cool, it filled the arena with his strongest weapon.
Poseidon jumped backwards and landed on the water and slowly sank into it.
Suddenly the water started expanding and encircling around Amaterasu, the water was dark, and she couldn't see through it.
The water masked Poseidon's movements perfectly.
Amaterasu, tried listening closely for the sound of movement in the water, trying to find any deviation in its rhythm. And then just as she was beginning to feel comfortable, Poseidon exploded from the water like a bullet train and tabbed at her with his Trident.
Amaterasu, managed to slightly dodge the attack, but Poseidon still managed to stab into the side of her stomach.
Poseidon himself, quickly raced back into the water and repeated this process, like a missile.
Amaterasu was feeling the pressure. Trying to predict his movements and actually defending against them was proving a difficult task for her and Poseidon had shown proficiency with lightning and water-based attacks.
" Damn, I can't keep up with his movements. I need to get some leverage." Amaterasu leapt into the air and started using heat to keep her suspended in the air allowing her to have a better image of her surroundings. ' This way, I can see him coming no matter which direction he's coming from.' Amaterasu thought to herself. " Come on out! I can see you now!" Amaterasu shouted.
The water dome began to shrink back down and in the center of the arena stood Poseidon. He raised his hands and clapped them together, the water started changing shape.
" Super Shark Bomb!" Poseidon shouted.
The water changed shape and large Shark the size of the meg rushed straight towards Amaterasu. The sun goddess and the gods in the arena were all shocked by the massive emergence of the creature.
