I stayed with Qin Shi Huang for a year. We had many things to teach each other. He had helped me get out of my rut by teaching me Martial arts and in return I would teach him Spartan sword play. He was a natural with any weapon he picked up. It would normally be a surprising thing from a man who seemed to only ever fight with his hands. But if there's one thing, I learned from watching Qin it's that you should always expect the unexpected from the man. Because there is simply no limit to his growth. But more than that, we became good friends. Yifei, Qin Shi Huang, and I all traveled around China, having a good time. Fighting, training, celebrating. A genuinely amazing experience.
It was also during that time that Yifei and I had grown closer, we even tried giving a relationship a try, but in the end, we decided to stay simple friends. I wasn't one to settle down. And she didn't want to leave China. So, while things were nice like all good things my time in China soon had to come to an end.
It came at a good time as well. Qin Shi Huang had been planning for a long time to go searching for something he called the elixir of immortality. I couldn't tell myself whether or not such a thing existed. But I knew if anyone could find it, it would be him. He was a tenacious man. Brave, Kind, Honest, Proud. All of these would describe the man that is Qin Shi Huang. A true warrior at heart and an even greater king. The people of China were lucky to have such a ruler. It would seem that China at least had things together. But after saying my heartfelt goodbyes to the only friends I made in China I journey back towards my home country.
10 Years Later!
The gongs blared and the drums beat loudly. Hundreds of stone soldiers lay in order as the great emperor was laid to rest. The first of his kind, not the last to be, but the greatest there ever was.
All of China had gathered to say their goodbyes to the legendary king who managed to do what others deemed impossible.
They came together. They danced. They sang. They cheered. They ate good food. They played great games. All in the name of their great emperor, Qin Shi Huang.
Though there was one man, one who sat from high above. Unknown to the people of China there was another of different origins that came to celebrate the passing of the emperor.
Poseidon drank from his gourd, a booze strong enough to put a normal man on his ass with only a sip and basked in glory at the celebration for his old friend. He had been Qin Shi Huang's greatest supporter in his quest for the elixir of immortality, wanting so badly to be able to live his long life next to a man he admired, trusted, and respected. But unfortunately, fate wasn't so kind to the two men.
He looked out at the imperial city and started drinking once again, the faint feeling of a buzz slowly creeping through his system as he consumed the divine brew.
He stopped to catch his breath once more and tears began falling from both of his eyes.
Looking out over the imperial city with a smile on his face, and tears in his eyes was the new god Poseidon.
" It's been a long time, since I've been in this city. ten whole years. Hard to believe time has flown so quickly. Where did it all go, I wonder?" He spoke unsure of how time passed over his head so quickly. " So, you're gone now too, Qin Shi Huang?" Poseidon spoke, his tears falling freely He wasn't depressed. He was proud. Proud of his friend in finding his end. His way to the afterlife. He was proud to have gotten the chance to know the man as he did. He was proud to have fought the man at his best. But despite being happy for the life that was lived by Qin Shi Huang, Poseidon was saddened over the loss of his best friend.
He raised his drink to the sky, as lanterns from the city started floating upwards, and he started laughing. Laughing so loud that his voice could be heard over the sounds of joy from the city.
However, that voice filled with laughter and joy soon turned to a cry of pain and sadness.
" QIN SHI HUANG!!!!"
