During our trip to the African state, Diana and I visited many different sights. The Stone henge, one of the most mysterious sights in the world, The Parthenon, and many other places. It was nice to be able to focus on just us for once.
We were on a ship currently heading towards Africa. Being able to control the sea around us made trave a lot more comfortable. Not having to worry about the waters or the creatures below us attacking made it all the more complete.
Diana for one enjoyed looking out at the sea, there were even times when she would ask me to make them large or small. Or do tricks. She even asked me to make it so that she could ride them.
It was nice to see she hadn't lost her innocence during all of our troubles. Her precious smile made all of this worth it. Worth the pain and suffering I went through training and fighting to get stronger.
We were getting close to Africa, so I called Diana back to the ship.
" Aw, do I have to?" She complained.
" Yes, young lady. We'll be arriving soon. And I want you to be dry, so you don't get mud all over your clean clothes." I told the girl.
" AWWWW!" Diana groaned. I waved my hand and brought the waves toward the ship and Diana jumped down onto the deck. And then I sent the wave away.
" You're no fun daddy." Diana stated. She crossed her arms across her chest and pouted.
I wrapped my arms around head and rubbed my fist on top of her head hard.
" OW! Daddy that hurts." She exclaimed.
"HAHAHAHA!" I laughed at her and then once I was done, I hugged her tightly. " Are you ready to see Africa?"
" Yes, Daddy." Diana spoke.
Her previous frown a smile once more.
I smiled and rubbed her back.
" Then let's go see Africa baby girl." The waves in front of us cleared up and the sight of Land was there.
The moment we touched down D'Racka was there waiting for us.
" D'Racka! What are you doing here?" I asked. I was surprised he had been waiting exactly where we would be docking.
" I am the king of Wakanda my friend, I know when every ship comes into my territory, especially when it is near Wakanda's borders." D'Racka said with a smile on his face. " And who might this young lady be?" He asked.
" She's my little girl. Diana, meet my friend D'Racka, King of Wakanda."
D'Racka leaned down and shook Diana's hand with a smile on his face.
" It is a pleasure to meet you young lady. I am D'Racka, King of Wakanda. But you can just call me D'Racka." He spoke. " Now, that you are here what do you say joining us on our return to Wakanda?" He asked.
" That sounds perfect. I've been looking forward to having a little free time. There's been so much fighting lately that I just haven't had the chance to just be." I told the man.
" Very well. Let us journey home." D'Racka turned on his heel and along with his guard we began marching towards his city state.
Along the way we saw many interesting creatures. Lions and snakes and spiders. Things that could kill a man with one bite. And many large creatures as well. The same creatures we saw from Xerxes army, D'Racka called them rhinos and elephants. Such simple creatures. Yet so complex. History of evolution has reduced them to simpler creatures from their armored and deadly ancestors.
" So, what are your plans in Wakanda Timaeus?" D'Racka asked.
" I simply wish to show my daughter a different culture. She's grown up only knowing war, I merely wish to show her that there is more to the world than what we learned in Sparta." I told the man.
" That shouldn't be a problem. I just have to know, does she possess... Your destructive capabilities?" He asked.
" If you're asking, can she suddenly sneeze and blow away your city then no she can't." I told the man.
I watched the stress leave his face as he breathed a sigh of relief.
" Then everything will be just fine. I will prepare a place for the both of you in the royal palace. Feel free to come and go as you please. But I do ask that you keep what you've seen to yourself and do not enter my private chambers without first notifying one of my guards of your intent. Things have settled down greatly since you were last here. But they are still as protective of me as ever." D'Racka explained.
" Of Course."
Our walk to the Nation of Wakanda was a rather long, but pleasant endeavor.
" Wow! Daddy this place is beautiful." Diana exclaimed.
" I am glad you think so young one." D'Racka spoke. " We have spent centuries ensuring that Wakanda is as Glorius as any state in the world."
I watched as Diana scanned the sights around her. Buildings and statures that would never appear in Greece surrounded us on all sides. The clothing, the foods, all of it much different than what she was used too. I know the feeling of excitement. I had the same feeling when I first came here myself.
After taking a tour through the city, D'Racka led us to our room. There were two hanging cots. And a window. A simple room yet it seemed much more lavish than anything back in Greece.
" So, princess. What do you think of Wakanda?" I asked.
" It's so big. And beautiful. This place is amazing." She exclaimed.
Her excitement made my heart flutter.
" Come on, Dear. Let's have some fun."
" YAY!"
This was a time of joy. Diana and I enjoyed everything that Wakanda had to offer. We stuffed our guts with foods of spice and sweet. We played by the sandy shores of Africa. We hunted animals of all kinds. A proper father and daughter bonding time. Our weeks were filled with nothing but happiness and joy. Her radiant smile shining brighter than ever I had seen before.
She never slept in her own cot. Always preferring to sleep with me.
It was a bit cramped, but I couldn't have been happier.
It was a happy time in general. One of many that I will remember fondly.
