Rhodes explained, "You've been parasitized by ether particles, to be precise, by the Reality Gem. This powerful force cannot be handled by your current body. It will only protect itself when you're attacked, and now you and it have become one."

Jane, terrified, asked, "What should I do?"

Rhodes replied, "You won't know until your body is scanned, but if you let it stay in your body, you'll die."

Jane understood the gravity of her situation, so she chose to trust Rhodes to save her life.

Rhodes took Jane and teleported back to Asgard. Hela was still ordering the guards of Asgard to gather and repatriate all the creatures sent to Asgard due to the space folding in the Nine Realms.

Seeing Rhodes return with an Earth woman, Hela was curious. "Who is this woman?"

Rhodes explained, "Her name is Jane Foster. She was parasitized by ether particles. I brought her back to remove the ether particles from her body to obtain the Reality Gem."

Hela recognized the term "ether particles" and didn't dismiss it as nonsense. She understood the significance of the ether particles and the Reality Gem.
