Chapter 10

"I… do not believe that is important at the moment." Xavier said with a cough and I simply stared at him with, what the youth of today had dubbed as, my resting bitch face.

"Pervert." Laura commented from my side, making Xavier try to justify the chosen clothing for his little child soldier squad and solidifying her position as the best girl.

Honestly, Xavier was supposed to be rich. He could probably get each of his X-Men armor that, while not as good as that of Tony Stark or Victor von Doom, could protect them. But having them go around in armor like soldiers instead of them simply using their powers to solve the problem like other vigilantes might work against the whole 'we are like you but simply have some gifts' angle Xavier was trying to sell to the world.

"The material we use for the clothing is quite durable yet flexible." Storm said with a smile.

"They aren't exactly as durable as real armor but with the enemies we have, prioritizing speed over defense was the better option as armor wouldn't really help most of us against the enemies we face, except for those who don't need armor." The weather goddess explained and I had to concede to her logic, meaning I wouldn't get to make an issue of hot girls wearing skintight clothing. Oh woe is me.

"Makes sense."

"I said the same thing." Xavier muttered from the background, but we all ignored him.

"I'm surprised that you guys can afford such clothing material, and this ridiculous training room, but can't afford to fix my door."

"And I'm surprised how much you seem to be obsessed with your house." Logan said with an eye roll.

"Not the house, Magneto was the one who wrecked the house anyway, just the door."

"...I'm too sober to deal with you." Heh. Damian victor, Logan loser.

"Professor." And there comes the convenient distraction, that would allow Logan to get away from my awesome attempts of belittling him or try to make him go even deeper into alcohol, in the form of the so called leader of the X-Men in all of his visored glory.

To be perfectly honest, I was not sure how to feel about Scott Summers. Sure he was hated quite vocally in my world due to his moronic moments, and the fact that he had managed to score two super hot telepaths even as a douche, but now that he was in front of me as an actual human being; I could not muster up that same hatred anymore.

"Scott, allow me to introduce you. These are Damian Owen and Laura Kinney, our newest students as of today." Xavier introduced us with a smile and Scott turned towards us, then seemed to inspect us for a moment and finally; he smiled as well.

"Welcome to the school." He said as he offered his hand for a shake, which I did so. Damn, where was the confrontational bastard Scott Summers who only cared about getting into Jean's pants that the fandoms of my world had me prepared for and who was this actually nice guy?

"So are they going to be... you know?" Scott asked Xavier as he gestured towards the 'X' mark on his chest.

"That will be their choice." Captain Wheels said with a smile before turning to us.

"For now, I would like to introduce you two to the rest of the team."

"Hallo, mein freund!" Ahh, leave it to Kurt to be the one to break the ice. Xavier had been somewhat concerned when the rest of the team was somewhat unwilling to make the first contact after meeting mister Owen and miss Kinney. What would you know, even teenagers with super powers that frequently fought maniacs with delusions of grandeur could get shy in front of strangers.

Fortunately they had Kurt, the one mutant on the team with the second biggest reason to be actually shy due to looking like the blue cousin of a stereotypical devil yet was the friendliest of all of his students.

"Nice to meet you." And seeing that their German friend was actually making an effort, the rest of the team joined in the greeting as well. Though Rogue did stay a little bit further than them, which Xavier could forgive due to the fact that she had the biggest reason to stay away from people. Getting near people tended to be somewhat hard when your smallest touch could render people comatose.

Still, it was nice to see his students welcoming a new mutant into their midst. Not as zealots like those who follow his old friend Erik, not as soldiers which they had to act as for the future of humankind and mankind, but as what they are truly are. Children with gifts.

"So, like, what can you two do?" Kitty asked and this was Xavier's cue.

"I believe miss Pryde's question is better off answered with actions rather than words." He said with a smile as he clasped his hands together.

"I myself would like to see your gifts as well."

"Didn't you already see what I can do?" Damian asked with a tilt of his head and Xavier answered with a chuckle.

"Yes, but in my defense; I was a little less concerned with your gifts and a little bit more with my life at that moment."

"Wait, what?" Bobby asked with wide eyes but he merely ignored him.

"If you are agreeable with it, then I would like you to take a test run with our Danger Room."

"...sure, why not." Damian finally answered with a sigh and Laura nodded as well, the girl seemed to be ready to follow after her friend with no hesitation.

"Very well then." Xavier said with a smile as his chair turned around and started to wheel away, followed by the X-Men until they realized that one of their members weren't following them.

"Jean?" Xavier said with a frown at the redheaded mutant who was still looking at Damian before his voice jolted her out of her trance.

"Oh, I'm sorry professor. I'm coming." She said as she quickly ran up to his side.

"Is there something wrong Jean?" Xavier asked with concern towards one of his oldest students.

"No sir. Nothing important, it's just... he seemed familiar."
