Wong, the librarian of Kamar-Taj, understood various forms of magic better than anyone else. Among them, he was knowledgeable about curse magic.
A curse that could kill someone out of thin air, even implicating their relatives, was indeed within his memory.
However, the fact that the Black Shuck could trigger such an ability with just a glance was incredibly powerful.
Tony Stark: "Black Shuck, truly lives up to its name."
Bruce Wayne: "Just a glance causes such devastating consequences. Why do such terrifying creatures exist?"
Naruto: "Compared to this dog, that statue seems weaker. At least it doesn't affect so many people!"
Sengoku: "Indeed, to deal with such a horrible creature, we'd need someone with no relatives, like an orphan."
Tsunade: "That's not necessarily true. As long as there's a blood relation, they count as relatives. Who knows how many hidden relatives one might have?"
Kizaru: "But it's not hard to deal with. Just use Observation Haki to sense it."
Naruto: "Hey? If I use Shadow Clones, will the clone's gaze affect the original?"
Jiraiya: "Don't test such things recklessly!"
While everyone was discussing, the screen's voice continued.
"The other terrifying SCP related to sight, the Evil God Statue, is relatively easier to handle than the Black Shuck."
The voice on the screen interrupted the discussion, piquing everyone's curiosity about the abilities of this so-called Evil God Statue.
"This statue first appeared in an art museum. No one knew how it got there. Even the curator was clueless about its origin and planned to dispose of it. But when it was discovered, accidents started happening."
Late at night, the museum curator mysteriously died of a heart attack. The curator had been in good health, so the sudden heart attack was strange.
Normally, such deaths weren't under the SCP Foundation's jurisdiction, as similar incidents happen worldwide. But as the number of victims grew, the situation changed.
Not just the curator, but many others who had been in the museum that day died of heart attacks that night. All the victims had one thing in common: they had visited the museum.
Police investigations revealed shocking footage. Some people were seen perfectly fine one moment, then suddenly, a statue appeared out of nowhere, crushing them, and then disappearing. The victims then died of heart attacks.
This phenomenon was not limited to one person. Many who died suddenly had experienced it. Whether in cars, bathrooms, or beds, the statue would appear, crush them, and vanish.
According to the surveillance, the deaths were not simultaneous but occurred seconds apart, indicating the statue was killing them in sequence.
The museum staff identified the statue as the one that had mysteriously appeared in the museum.
This phenomenon immediately caught the SCP Foundation's attention. They took over the investigation and attempted to contain the statue.
Research revealed that once someone saw the statue, their fate was sealed. They had to keep watching it; if they looked away, the statue would move and kill them in sequence.
To contain the statue, either no one must see it, or several people must take turns watching it, ensuring it's always in someone's sight. As long as someone is watching it, the statue's deadly behavior won't activate.
Due to its godlike appearance and bizarre killing method, the Foundation called it the Evil God Statue. Whether it truly had a connection to an evil god was still under investigation.
The screen stopped here, and many couldn't help but gasp, trying to calm themselves.
Mordo: "I think this definitely has something to do with an evil god. Who would create such a terrifying statue for no reason?"
Diana: "So, this statue has the curse of an evil god, causing such abnormal behavior?"
Mordo: "It's very likely."
Nobita: "Waaah, this is so creepy."
Naruto: "This is really scary!"
Tony Stark: "Hey, no need to be so tense. As long as someone keeps watching it, it's fine. It's like dealing with a Weeping Angel."
Strange: "You say that so lightly."
"Now, predicting which universe the Evil God Statue and the Black Shuck will appear in."
The screen's voice interrupted everyone's discussion.
Everyone watched the screen nervously, wanting to know which universe these two SCPs would appear in, or if they would appear in multiple universes.
Ultraman Leo World.
Gen watched the screen with slight tension.
"If I transform into Leo, I should be able to destroy these two in one move, right?"
Gen thought about it, confident he wouldn't lose.
Doraemon World
"Doraemon! Do you have a way to deal with these things?"
Nobita asked Doraemon nervously.
"Don't worry, just don't look at them. I have a few gadgets that can help."
Doraemon said while checking his gadgets, ensuring they were ready.
Naruto World.
"Hehe, if I use Shadow Clones, I won't be afraid."
Naruto said with a grin, thinking his Nine-Tails power would help him combat these things.
"Idiot! Don't be reckless!"
Jiraiya, standing nearby, smacked Naruto on the head.
"That's right. We can't let our guard down."
Tsunade nodded, then glanced at the Red Sea disc hanging around Jiraiya's neck as a necklace.
"Is it okay to just keep that thing on you?"
Tsunade asked worriedly.
"This is the best way. We can't let it connect to the mirror."
Jiraiya nodded in agreement.
