Chapter 31

Under the telekinetic push, Ororo grunted as she was pressed down onto the floor of the Danger Room. Gojo floated down, stopping a few feet above the ground, chuckling as he saw Ororo struggling under his telekinetic might.

"Are you done? Is that all you can do?" he taunted, his hands in his pockets while maintaining the pressure on the entire team.

Outside the Danger Room, observing the scene, Professor Xavier and Beast watched, baffled by how easily Gojo defeated the team and kept Ororo at bay with such little effort.

"Professor, don't you think we should stop the fight now?" Beast asked worriedly, seeing the power Gojo possessed. The power was too strong to contain in the Danger Room, as evidenced by the dents he was making with his telekinesis. He was also worried that their fight would lead to the other students getting hurt, considering Gojo was forcing them all down with such pressure, even maintaining it on the unconscious students.

The Professor didn't reply immediately, more invested in watching Gojo fight one of his strongest students. He noticed the ice storm Ororo managed to conjure, but it kept getting destroyed due to the force of Gojo's telekinesis. Amused, Gojo canceled the pressure, giving Ororo time to recover. The air turned icy, and Storm shoved her hand toward Gojo, directing the ice storm toward him. Gojo smiled as his pearly blue eyes turned demonic red with heat, blasting the storm of ice and turning it instantly to vapor.

Beast was impressed with how the two kept on attacking each other, though it was more of a one-sided struggle. 'What an exquisite control,' he thought, looking at Ororo struggling to match the boy who easily countered all of the team's powers with his own. 'The boy had thus far shown many different abilities: Telekinesis and Telepathy much stronger than the Professor and Jean, Teleportation that doesn't seem to have a requirement unlike Kurt, beams of heat from his eyes—now that is new, and he appeared to have superhuman strength, speed, and agility.'

He thought back to when Gojo moved to intercept the shades, destroying the ground with his push-off, and his hits as well. As he looked at Gojo's smiling form, he shuddered. 'Is that really all he can do?'

Charles sighed. "Looks like it's over." It was a landslide victory for Gojo. The boy wasn't even trying at this point and had simply extended his duel with Storm for his own amusement.

Storm panted, barely able to stand after blocking another blast of Gojo's telekinesis. It took much more energy to create large weather patterns without an actual environment to do it in. To top it off, the boy in front of her didn't look at all fazed by any of her attacks and was still smiling. 'What a monster,' she thought. The nonchalant air around him was beginning to get on her nerves, almost as though he didn't perceive her as a threat.

She rained thunder on him, followed by ice storms and tornadoes meant to shred his skin. She used her powers nonstop to try and overwhelm him. After a moment, she stopped and waited for the cloud created from the ice, thunder, and winds to clear. When it did, she saw Gojo still standing there, unharmed. A small circle below him signified his use of telekinesis to overcome her powers. The floor around Gojo had scar marks, and most parts were even frozen, yet he stood there unfazed with a cheeky smile.

"How... how?" Storm stammered.

"Hmmm, how best to put this," Gojo said, placing his hand on his chin. "As you are right now, you're too weak. But your potential is definitely immense, Ororo."

Gojo noted the disappointment and resignation in Ororo's voice and said softly, "Don't be so hard on yourself. This wasn't exactly a fair fight to begin with..."

Ororo gave him a hard look, but Gojo quickly assuaged her anger. "And by that, I mean you were focusing too much on controlling your power than you were on me."

She sighed. "It's a by-product of my ability. The more strength I use, the more I alter the climate around me."

Gojo hummed to himself. "Then you just need to fine-tune your control. With time, I have no doubt that you will become one of the strongest Omega-level mutants on Earth. Just keep training and relax with your powers."

Ororo looked at him and said, "You sound so sure about that."

Gojo laughed. "Oh, believe me, I know more than you can imagine, dear. This was so much fun."

Charles's voice rang through the microphone. "Well done, Gojo."

Gojo and Ororo left the Danger Room, with Gojo carrying all of the unconscious students using his telekinesis. He looked back at the room and the damage done. "Sorry," he said to the empty room.

Thinking he was apologizing for the damage, Ororo said, "Don't worry, it'll be repaired before tomorrow."

"No, that's not what I meant," Gojo replied.

Upon reaching the Professor, he gently placed all the students down on the floor. "That was most impressive, my boy. I didn't know you had such a great degree of control over your powers to that point," Charles said.

"Well, I have been training ever since I figured out I was a meta," Gojo replied.

Charles chuckled. "Oh yes, Hank was wondering if you would be okay with him performing a physical exam on you."

Gojo looked at Beast, who scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Well, I just want to understand some things," Beast said.

'You and me both,' Gojo thought. 'Well, this should work to my advantage.' "Okay then, so when do you want to do that?"

Beast got excited and started saying some stuff before Charles intervened. "That will have to be tomorrow after the Danger Room has been repaired."

"Oh, of course, Professor," Hank replied. Turning to Gojo, he said, "How about we get them to the infirmary, my boy? You did quite a number on them."

Gojo nodded, and they began moving the unconscious students to the infirmary.
