Evening
It was another fulfilling day. After the story meeting, Thor had indeed become more diligent in his practice. Despite his struggles with magic, he excelled in combat, showcasing a keen sense and determination to improve. His physical fitness had noticeably improved, but his stubborn nature remained unchanged.
At this time, he was playing with Sif.
"Sif, run slower! I've been tired all day and I can't catch up with you!"
"Giggle!"
The two of them frolicked among the flowers, getting dirty in the process. Thor and Sif, childhood sweethearts, had a very good relationship that was only getting better.
"Thor, I also want to be a warrior so we can always be together from now on!"
Little Sif's face was full of determination as she shared her thoughts with Thor.
"But my hair is too long, and it particularly affects me. My father said that warriors cannot have such long hair. This is a flaw."
Thor's face twisted with determination, and he roared loudly, "No! The hair is mine! I don't allow it!"
He scared her, and she gently patted him to calm him down.
"Thor, you scared me. Just don't cut it. I will still become a warrior."
Thor realized he had overreacted. He looked embarrassed and after a while muttered, "Sif, you are mine too..."
"Thor, you are still too young!"
Thor was so frustrated by her words that he trembled with anger.
"Then will you marry me when you grow up?"
Sif smiled, her eyes twinkling, and gave him a meaningful look. "I will not!"
Feeling defeated, Thor dragged himself back to the palace without eating. After a long time, he finally let out a wail like a defeated dog.
The queen looked at her despondent son, concerned. She asked questions, but he didn't say anything.
"Mom, I'm really fine."
This is my secret, he thought. I'll be embarrassed if I tell you!
Frigga left in a hurry, returning with a small bowl to feed her son spoon by spoon. She felt relieved at last. It seemed her son had grown up.
Time passed, and Thor never mentioned marriage to Sif again. Sif put her hair up and continued to practice her divine power.
They remained close. Thor admired Sif's strength and sunny smile. He liked her a lot and realized he might have been too abrupt before. He was still young, after all.
Thor was five years old. On this day, the Golden Palace was heavily guarded because the legendary second prince was about to be born.
The process must have gone smoothly. Thor had become more open-minded. In the plot, Loki was indeed a troublemaker, and it was uncertain if that would change.
But when he saw his mother looking at the little man in her arms with the same loving eyes, he didn't feel jealous because he knew his mother would love him just as much. However, he realized he was destined to bear the burden of Loki for the rest of his life because his mother was so happy.
Adopting Loki must have been his father Odin's idea since his mother probably had never met him. Thor had no say in family decisions and no rights.
Thor held the babbling child in his arms, feeling awkward. How should I deal with this? he wondered. Mom, I am a child too! Are you going to leave the naughty child to me now?
Asgard had been busy with political affairs recently, and Frigga needed to attend to matters behind the scenes. Loki was left under Thor and Sif's care, with maids around, but Thor still suffered from nervous breakdowns.
Loki would sleep during the day and make noises at night. He would come around every once in a while, and by the time his mother returned, he was exhausted. Naughty kids are the most annoying!
Thor witnessed Loki's growth, from a toddler to a younger brother who followed him around like a shadow.
Only then did he realize that he had grown up. He began to become a role model for Loki. Loki was very smart and learned quickly. He was now able to practice magic with the queen.
Thor also grew taller and stronger, and his cleverness diminished. He learned bravery and integrity from Heimdallr, and his sarcasm skills soared to the full level. Despite Thor's occasional mischievous behavior, the relationship between the two brothers remained good.
Thor was eight and Loki was four.
Odin returned with his army!
The teleportation fortress was filled with light, the rainbow bridge extended infinitely, and the entire Asgard was immersed in a sea of joy.
The large army of swords and guns was put into storage, leaving only the daily patrols of the garrison, and banquets continued throughout Asgard, celebrating victory!
The Frost Giant King sent an envoy to surrender to Asgard and signed a peace agreement with Odin.
Both sides stated that the two tribes would live together peacefully in the future. If someone from either side attacked the other without cause, it would be considered breaking the alliance. The eternal spear would witness, and the gods would make an alliance.
Odin led his two sons into the treasure house and sealed the Casket of Ancient Winters inside.
"...This is how it is, my children. Our realm will enjoy countless years of peace."
"Remember, a great king does not start wars at will, but we will never be afraid."
"I know, Father!"
Two childish voices echoed in the hall. As the God King walked out of the treasure house, their legendary journey began.
"Father, your crown."
Thor took out the crown from his arms and handed it back to Odin, looking at his father with admiration.
"Thor, my son, you must be a good brother and protect your brother, do you understand?"
Odin expected more from his eldest son. He looked at his two sons with a loving face and gave majestic instructions.
"I will, Father, and I will protect you and Mother. I am already a warrior, but I still lack armor and weapons. My brother has also become a magician."
Thor looked at his father expectantly. "Give me my weapon quickly!"
"My son, Loki, is that so?"
"Yes, Father, my brother and I are working hard in our practice now."
Odin didn't want to neglect his youngest son, so he turned the conversation to him, and the family was harmonious and happy.
After the God King returned, Thor and Loki were finally able to leave the Golden Palace, and they followed Sif into the outside world for the first time.
"Look! That's where the Einherjar live. They have a gladiatorial arena there; it's very big!"
"Wow…!"
Both brothers opened their mouths in surprise. The arena in front of them was crowded with people. Most of the seats were filled with Einherjar. The observation deck was at least 500 meters high and surrounded by an oval with a radius of about 300 meters. There were more than 200 men in the arena, catching each other and fighting. The roar of the crowd was deafening, and cheers echoed all around.
Quest Log: Become the Arena Champion.
The mission log updated, adding another daunting task!
The two little guys followed Sif out of the arena and went to explore the streets. People came and went on the spacious street. Vendors selling fruits, groceries, and snacks were everywhere. Rows of palaces lined both sides of the street. They rode in a carriage and traveled through the area. During this journey, Thor memorized the locations of the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Law Enforcement. They bought some things for their parents at a street store before heading home. They had no gold coins, so Sif paid for everything.
"Sister, how big is Asgard?"
In the carriage, Thor's face was full of curiosity, and he asked questions that had been on his mind for a long time.
"I haven't been everywhere. I heard from my father that the area near the Golden Palace is actually the bridgehead of Asgard, closest to the Rainbow Bridge. It is always ready to guard the people. We are built on a volcano, and we live like real people in Asgard. In the vast plain behind the volcano, there are countless floating islands above the boundary sea. The land is fertile and rich in resources, and we live a very prosperous life."
Sif explained to the eager little man beside her, her eyes gentle.
"So Sif, life in our realm is so prosperous. What do the people do?"
Loki asked
"Loki, there are many races among the people of Asgard. Our people generally become warriors and settle in the Golden Palace area with some warrior families from other races. I'm talking about mages, and you are also a warrior, brother Loki."
"Other ethnic groups excel at many things, such as dwarves making weapons and developing technology. Some make wine, some are merchants, and some are scholars and governors. If civilians live a prosperous life, they must work hard to reproduce and become warriors. The Nine Realms are vast, and our frontier troops are always short of men."
The two brothers were fascinated by her explanation. It turns out that Asgard is so big! Conversations and exclamations came from time to time in the carriage. As night fell, it was truly an unforgettable day.
