CHAPTER 13 - MEETING THE X-MEN

THIRD PERSON POV

Danny Rand arrived at Rudra's house he went inside and saw a giant hole in the kitchen along with what appeared to be broken parts of a robot scattered around and asked

"Is this a prank by Tony Stark?"(Danny Rand)

"Apparently not, that robot over there came and declared that I am a mutant and tried to kill me." Rudra replied

"So you are a mutant?" Danny Rand asked 'The' question.

"I don't know man I never knew I had mutant powers." Rudra was as confused as the come.

"Except the time when your strength suddenly increased when you attacked Avengers."(Danny Rand)

"Isn't that like a breakthrough in martial arts?"(Rudra)

"Dude we ain't in xianxia troupe where you breakthrough and power up." Danny said exasperated.

'I didn't know he read xianxia.' thought Rudra

"I don't know, I might breakthrough in the future." and tried to make an argument.

"Seriously?"(Danny Rand is not amused)

"Something that old man once said about training just put that idea in my mind, sorry."(Rudra)

"So what do we do now?"(Danny Rand)

"We load up the robot and look for the mutant experts."(Rudra)

"The 'X-Men'?"(Danny Rand)

"The X-Men."(Rudra)

"Then let's go."(Danny Rand)

And so we loaded up the truck and drove to the 'Xavier's school for gifted youngsters'.

Meanwhile at the underground facility used by X-men Charles Xavier was sitting in Cerebro with Logan, Storm and Magneto present in the room with a sombre atmosphere.

"So have you found a way to turn them off?" (Magneto)

"No, after they are fully functional the system cannot be shut down."(Charles replied in a downtrodden voice)

"So that means war is coming." (Magneto being Magneto)

"No, I may not have found a way to stop them and fight them but I found something else, I will tell you once I am sure of it but till then Ororo please welcome the guests that are coming."(Charles said to stop him from going ballistic..)

"Alright professor."(Storm)

As Danny and Ryan parked the car and came out they saw Ororo Monroe a.k.a. Storm coming out of the mansion and walking towards them.

"The professor would like to meet you two."(Storm)

"Then what should we do with this?" asked Danny as he uncovered the robot parts.

Storm gave them a slightly astonished look and said "I will ask someone to bring it in."

After they reached the underground laboratory and came face to face with the professor he gestured for them to sit down and said

"It is fascinating when I look at you two I can feel the energy of your body protecting your mind and it might sound slightly offensive to you I tried probing your minds slightly but your energy protects you. though I could break through with some effort it is astonishing nonetheless, ah pardon me but I will have to ask your purpose for coming here."(Charles)

"I was attacked by a robot this morning who called me a mutant and since it did not seem like a prank we decided to visit you the experts in the field."(Rudra)

"Did you escape the robot?"(Charles)

"No I cut it down."(Rudra)

"How?"(Charles)

"With my sword," he said extending his hand as his gauntlet turned into a sword.

"Vibranium and Adamantium, good weapon." said Magneto

Danny looked at the sword with envy just like he did many times before.

"So you came to ask us about the source of the attack?"(Charles)

"No, I wasn't bothered by the attack or whoever is involved as it was almost harmless what bothers me was the fact that it called me a mutant, but I don't remember ever having any mutant abilities so I thought maybe you could tell me my mutant powers."(Rudra)

Now everyone else was speechless except Logan who laughed out loud.

"I see then maybe Hank can help you with that, Logan can you take our friends to Hank." said the professor as he looked at Logan

"Alright boys follow me." said Logan as he walked ahead still laughing.

After the three left the room Eric smiled at Charles and said

"You should've seen the look on your face when he said the attack didn't bother him and didn't care about its origin, but the fact that such an attack didn't faze them is a testament to their strength and they might be of great help against the sentinels."(Magneto)

"I have to agree on that."(Charles)

After the trio reached Hank McCoy's lab Logan asked him to test Ryan's mutant abilities. As Ryan was laid in a futuristic-looking capsule that surged with various lights for 5 minutes the capsule opened and he came out Dr. Mccoy said

"So I have your results and according to them you can absorb electricity and use the absorbed electricity to enhance yourself."(Hank Mccoy)

"Then isn't it kind of amazing?"(Rudra)

"Not so much more like very weak you are very different from a normal mutant, when a normal mutant awakens The X-gene almost all the cells in his body awaken X-gene or at least the majority of the cells do it but in your case, the amount of X-cells in your body is 1 in 1,000 so yeah you have great potential but your ability is not that great."(Hank Mccoy)

"So how much can I absorb?"(Rudra)

"About a car battery's worth?"(Hank Mccoy)

"Fine whatever."(Rudra was exasperated.)

"So what's the deal with the robots?"(Danny Rand)

"The robots called sentinels by their creators have been active for a couple of months and have killed almost 11% of the mutant population they have hardly failed their tracks are covered up by the government which helps put them in places near targets."(Hank Mccoy)

"They have the ability to adapt to almost any mutant powers and are immune to most of psychic ones and their speed is increasing with the more that they kill the more data they have to adapt." Storm continued as she entered the room and looked at Ryan's test results.

"Do you need any help?"(Danny Rand)

"At this point, we need all we can get."(Storm)

"You in?"(Danny Rand)

"Fine I will get some equipment." said Ryan as he called his housekeeper to deliver one of the trinkets he received from Stark as most of them would be useless against robots.

(AN- I have finished this volume today and 2 chapters will be released on Sunday. As for potential love interests for Mc, I shall inform you we have 2 that are definite because of the way the story is written, but the final number is undetermined. I will see how it goes.)
