Chapter 40: Wanda's Dream of Being a Teacher

Han Yu stood up, casually surveying the study as he slowly walked toward Fisk.

When he passed the lifeless body of the suited man Fisk had just killed, he didn't spare it a glance, stepping over it as he continued closing the distance between himself and Fisk.

Fisk's gaze was fixed intently on the young man approaching him. In all his years of running the underworld, he had never encountered an opponent who exuded such overwhelming pressure as Han Yu.

What's his game? Walking so nonchalantly—does he already have a plan to deal with me? Is it snipers? Bombs? What kind of superpowered individual is he? Could he be a speedster like the other one?

Fisk's mind raced, overanalyzing Han Yu's every move. In stark contrast, Han Yu's thoughts were far more mundane.

Wow, what a mansion! This study alone has two floors and is almost the size of my entire shop. Someday, I've got to buy a place like this.

Han Yu was mentally marveling at the luxury, even considering asking Fisk how much such a mansion cost. But just as he opened his mouth to speak, Fisk suddenly yelled and raised his cane, pressing a hidden button on its head.

From the tip of the cane, countless red lasers shot out toward Han Yu. Given the fate of the suited man lying on the floor, Han Yu knew these lasers were no joke—getting hit by one would leave at least a gaping hole.

Though Han Yu didn't believe Fisk's attack could hurt him, the sudden aggression annoyed him.

He didn't blame Fisk for sending assassins after him—in fact, he felt he owed him gratitude. If not for Fisk's actions, Han Yu might have only learned about the existence of mutants through front-page news, making his task of gathering and managing them exponentially harder.

Han Yu had come here intending to repay hostility with kindness, but now Fisk was attacking him out of nowhere. What's his problem? Do we really have such a deep grudge?

As the red lasers streaked toward him, Han Yu sighed softly, shaking his head. In a blink, he vanished from his spot, leaving the lasers to strike nothing but empty air.

"Where did he go?"

Fisk tensed, gripping his cane tightly as he scanned the study for any sign of Han Yu.

Suddenly, a pale hand appeared in his vision, growing larger until it slapped his 400-pound frame so hard that he toppled backward, flipping onto the ground.

For a moment, Fisk lay there, unable to get up.

"Idiot," Han Yu muttered.

Pulling out a towel, he casually wiped his hand. What kind of habit is this, attacking people out of nowhere? At least I'm not the type to kill someone just because they're hostile.

With that, Han Yu delivered a swift kick to Fisk for good measure before turning to leave.

The study fell silent again. Moments after Han Yu departed, Fisk's subordinates finally burst into the room. Seeing their boss lying on the floor with a swollen face, they rushed to help him up, visibly alarmed.

"Useless fools! Why didn't you come in earlier?" Fisk barked, pushing them away in frustration.

"Mr. Fisk, we wanted to come in, but... our bodies suddenly froze! It was like four invisible hands were holding us down—we couldn't move at all!"

"This kid… who the hell is he?"

Fisk stared out the rain-streaked window, lost in thought. The pain from his swollen face only grew sharper.

Han Yu returned to his shop, intending to head to his room for some rest. But as he entered, he saw Wanda knocking on Pietro's door.

"Pietro! What are you doing in there? Dinner's ready!"

"Not hungry! Busy right now—just save some for me!" came Pietro's muffled reply.

Pietro's voice came from his room, leaving Wanda a little confused. She shrugged and turned to leave, only to run into Han Yu, who was heading upstairs. She asked, "Do you know what he's doing in there? He won't even come out for dinner."

Since Wanda hadn't been around during the earlier conversation about mutants, Han Yu decided there was no need to keep it a secret. He recounted to her what he had told Ultron and Pietro before. Unexpectedly, this piqued Wanda's interest.

"Yu, when the mutant academy is established, can I be a teacher there?"

A teacher? Han Yu hadn't considered that before. His vision for the academy was simply to create a sanctuary for mutants—a safe haven where they wouldn't face discrimination. Teaching hadn't crossed his mind.

But if Wanda wanted to be a teacher, he didn't see why not.

Though he jokingly referred to Wanda and the others as shop assistants, Han Yu didn't actually care much about what they did in their free time, as long as it wasn't harmful or unjust. The shop itself rarely had any real business, and Han Yu could manage it on his own. Recruiting them had been more about fulfilling the shop's tasks than anything else.

Han Yu smiled and said, "Of course! I think Pietro might have the same idea. You two can go together and help guide the mutant kids."

"Yay!"

Wanda cheered, jumping with excitement. She hugged Han Yu and planted a big kiss on his cheek before rambling excitedly.

"I'd better start preparing! What should I teach? I never went to school, so I can't teach academic subjects... Oh, I know! I'll teach them how to control their powers. Yes, that's perfect! I need to practice and make sure I'm a qualified teacher!"

"Yu, you can eat dinner by yourself. I'm going to the storage room to practice my powers."

Before Han Yu could respond, Wanda darted off, leaving him both amused and helpless.

"This girl... Does she have a dream of becoming a teacher? She's really into it," he muttered with a chuckle as he headed to the dining room.

Since discovering that he could expand the spaces within the shop, Han Yu had enlarged the dining area. It was now spacious enough to host forty or fifty people without feeling cramped, perfect for accommodating guests from across different worlds.

Fortunately, tonight's dinner wasn't particularly elaborate. Otherwise, being alone in such a large dining room with a feast spread out before him would have felt rather lonely.

After eating, Han Yu prepared a few extra dishes and stored them in a warmer for Pietro and Wanda. He then returned to his room, laid on his bed, and started playing a game.

What kind of game should I create?

As he played, Han Yu pondered this question. In a world filled with superheroes and supervillains, ordinary people often bore the brunt of their battles, left with nowhere to vent their frustration.

The kinder souls simply bottled up their grievances, occasionally complaining to those around them. But the more discontented and less patient ones expressed their anger through protests, riots, and destruction.

Han Yu thought of creating a game that mimicked the real world, where players could act without restraint—a space to vent their frustrations. A game like this would be unique in this world and likely attract many players.

"Freedom, realism, chaos…"

An idea suddenly struck him, and his eyes lit up with excitement. Slapping his thigh, he exclaimed, "Got it—GTA!"
