Chapter 11: Feedback from the Mind Construct

"Wanda, I have a Green Lantern Ring. I can create a secondary ring for you to control your magic. But think carefully—once you choose this path, you'll leave behind an ordinary life. You'll become... a god!"

Han Yu spoke solemnly. In his memories of his past life, Wanda, the Scarlet Witch in the comics, could never fully control her abilities.

If left unchecked, even fleeting thoughts could have catastrophic consequences for the universe.

If Wanda chose this path and awakened powers capable of altering the universe, no matter how low-key she tried to be, she could never again be considered an ordinary person.

Han Yu possessed the Mark of the Immortal God, which gave his mental strength a level surpassing even that of Odin. As long as Chaos Magic didn't resist him with all its might, suppressing it was manageable.

Wanda hesitated for half a minute before smiling and nodding gently. In a soft voice, she said,

"I choose to awaken my abilities. Besides, I think the reason you let the two of us stay here is probably because of my powers, right? If I don't awaken them, wouldn't that let you down?"

Han Yu laughed awkwardly. He didn't expect her to see through his intentions so easily.

"Ha, that's just one reason. Even if you didn't want to awaken your powers, I'd still treat you the same way. There's no pressure—you shouldn't feel forced."

"I don't feel forced. I also want to become stronger so I can protect and help the people I care about."

As she said this, Wanda glanced at Han Yu, as if hinting that he was among those she cared about.

Han Yu smiled and nodded. The Green Lantern Ring on his finger began to glow with a vibrant green light, sending strands of energy toward Wanda's hand.

Wanda instinctively raised her hand, and the green energy coalesced on her right middle finger, forming a translucent ring. Though similar to Han Yu's, hers had a more delicate and beautiful design.

"Channel your magic into it. I'll try to establish a mental connection," Han Yu instructed.

With her free hand, Wanda summoned scarlet energy. Under her careful control, it slowly moved toward the ring.

The moment Chaos Magic touched the Green Lantern Ring, Han Yu felt a powerful resistance, as if the magic itself resisted being contained.

"You're going in," Han Yu muttered coldly. Now that it was this close, there was no way he'd let it escape.

The Green Lantern Ring suddenly emitted a dazzling green light, instantly engulfing the Chaos Magic and pulling it inside.

Han Yu immediately focused his mind, commanding the energy within the ring. The overwhelming Green Lantern energy pressed down on the Chaos Magic, which now cowered like a frightened kitten in a corner.

The two forces merged completely, and Wanda's ring transformed from its crystalline green to a vivid, crystalline red—becoming the Green Lantern Ring in its Chaos form.

"It's done. Try sensing it now. You should have a clearer connection to the Chaos Magic inside you," Han Yu said.

"Wow! I can feel it! There's a distinct flow of power in me, and I can control it!"

Wanda exclaimed with delight, marveling at the newfound clarity and control. Compared to her earlier abilities, which felt infantile, this was like advancing to an elite high school.

Seeing her joy, Han Yu smiled in satisfaction. Wanda's ability to control Chaos Magic was not only beneficial for her but also added significant strength to his own arsenal.

"Alright, head back to your room and get some rest," he said.

Wanda nodded enthusiastically and turned to leave. Just as she reached the door, she stopped abruptly, then quickly returned.

Before Han Yu could react, she leaned in and lightly kissed his cheek, then left the room with a mischievous smile.

As the door closed and Wanda's footsteps faded down the stairs, Han Yu's expression changed. He dropped to one knee, large beads of sweat rolling down his face.

"Chaos Magic really is formidable. No wonder it can influence the entire Marvel Universe—it's still struggling even now," he muttered.

Looking down at his Green Lantern Ring, he noticed a faint red hue in its central gem.

As expected, the instability of Chaos Magic was first transferred to the bearer of the primary Green Lantern Ring. Only if the bearer couldn't withstand it would the backlash affect the wearer of the secondary ring.

Right now, Han Yu could feel the Chaos Magic raging within the ring like a ferocious lion, relentlessly crashing against its cage in an attempt to break free.

"Good thing it's still just a brute force entity for now. If it were to grow stronger in secret, I might not be able to handle it in the future," Han Yu mused.

Sitting cross-legged on the floor, he focused his immense mental strength—far surpassing the level of Odin—and channeled the Green Lantern energy to suppress the Chaos Magic within the ring.

Wanda's Chaos Magic was still in its infancy. While powerful, it was like a crying baby—loud but ultimately manageable.

After half an hour, Han Yu ensured the Chaos Magic was completely subdued and left no lingering threats. Only then did he climb into bed and fall asleep.

In the dead of night, the Green Lantern Ring on his finger glowed faintly with red light, attempting to break free.

However, a stronger green radiance immediately suppressed it, restoring the ring to its normal state.

The next morning, Han Yu woke up yawning. After washing up, he planned to prepare breakfast, but as he approached the kitchen, he noticed the door was already open. Inside, someone was busy moving about.

He focused his gaze and saw it was Wanda.

Today, Wanda was dressed in a simple white T-shirt and denim shorts, her slender, shapely legs catching the eye. She was wearing an apron and bustling around the kitchen.

Han Yu said, "Why didn't you sleep in a bit longer? You could've left the cooking to me."

Without pausing her movements, Wanda replied, "Good morning! I couldn't sleep and woke up early, so I figured I'd make breakfast. You can sit for a while; it'll be ready soon."

Watching Wanda busily moving about, Han Yu felt a sense of warmth stirring in his heart. Ever since arriving in the Marvel Universe, he had always been alone.

This moment felt different—a pleasant change from the domineering life he could lead outside.

"Well, I've got nothing to do. Let me help!"

Han Yu stepped forward, offering his assistance. Having spent time in kitchens before, he didn't wait for Wanda's response before naturally joining in with her tasks.

Wanda glanced at the man now standing beside her, her lips curving into a subtle smile, her eyes softening with warmth.

The two worked together in silence, a wordless understanding forming between them as they prepared breakfast.

Ten minutes later, with breakfast ready, Han Yu and Wanda emerged from the kitchen, laughing and chatting, carrying the food to the table. Just then, Pietro, sporting his signature messy hair, sluggishly emerged from his room.

Seeing Han Yu and Wanda carrying breakfast together, Pietro looked surprised. "You two are up so early?"

"Unlike you, some of us don't sleep the day away. Now go freshen up and come eat!"

Wanda rolled her eyes at her brother. Even as newcomers here, he showed no inclination to help, only sleeping in.

Breakfast was a harmonious affair, and the three bonded further through conversation.

Han Yu explained the unique nature of his little general store—that it could traverse countless worlds. He half-joked, "Now that you've boarded this pirate ship of mine, there's no getting off."

Rather than being shocked, Wanda and Pietro were more intrigued by the revelation. Especially Pietro—his interest piqued at the mention of traveling to other worlds. Immediately, he scooted closer to Han Yu.

"Han, you have to take me next time! I've always wanted to see what other worlds are like!" Pietro said excitedly.

Even Wanda leaned in eagerly. "Me too! I want to go too!"

Looking at their curious faces, Han Yu sighed inwardly. If there were no wars or conflicts, they would likely be in high school or college now. Their excitement was only natural for young people drawn to the unknown.

"Alright, alright. I promise I'll take you both next time," Han Yu said with a smile. He was about to share some amusing stories about his past adventures in other worlds when his expression suddenly turned serious.

The mental construct he had left with Whitebeard sent back a message: Whitebeard was gravely injured, and Ace was about to die!

"What's wrong, Han?" Wanda asked, noticing his abrupt change in demeanor.

After a moment of silence, Han Yu said, "It seems we don't have to wait for next time. We're heading out now."

"Now?"

"Yes, right now. Let's go!"
