Chapter 41: Playboy, Mo Fan

"I now have the Qi Wave Principle, the Qi Defense Principle, the Qi Acceleration Principle and its sub technique, the Qi Shifting Principle... I wonder if I could combine all of them to get even stronger...'

"But for now..." Mo Fan closed his eyes. "It's alright..."

And then, he fell asleep on the grass of his courtyard.

The next day, near a marketplace hidden through the Black Wind Forest, inside a wooden residence...

"Were you the one that had defeated Cheng Shao Feng?" The cold voice of an icy black-haired beauty asked to a blue-headed boy.

"Yes, sister Su Yan, although another one of my fellow brothers, Mo Fan, helped me a bit with the other little flies, I did take care of Cheng Shao Feng myself..." The blue-haired boy, Yang Kai, replied.

"Mo Fan? Are you talking about the cute adorable little blacksmith of the sect?" The Ice beauty asked, her words not carrying any emotion, just a hint on interest.

Su Mu, who was nearby her with a bump on his head, probably because of a beating just taken from her, was shocked upon hearing her words. His sister had just used words such as cute and aborable! He didn't even know that she knew such words before! She had never used them for him! And now she was using them for a greedy demonic bastard like Mo Fan?! That must've been surely a nightmare! There were no other possible explanations!

"Yes, why... does senior sister Su Yan know him perhaps?"

"No, I just asked me to do a weapon for me a couple of days ago... Since you seem to know him, do you perhaps think that he's already done by now? And if he's as skilled as he claims to be?" Su Yan's voice was still ice cold like before. "He said that he had never done an artifact before and that he'll learn how to and make me an artifact, but I don't quite believe it..."

"Hmh, if Mo Fan said so, rest assured, even if he's quite full of himself, he never lies. He has probably even already finished your artifact... he's quite the genius hardworker! When I first met him, he talked to me about how Qi could be used to even redirect the currents of entire oceans!" Yang Kai exclaimed, trying to help his bro in love. He had seemed to have left an impression on the Ice Queen of the sect and how could then Yang Kai, his best friend, not help him? And, after all, he was just telling the truth, so could that be even counted as a help?

"Oh... I didn't know he was this talented... Well, then I guess that I'll go check on my artifact later today..." Su Yan began, just like always, as cold and emotionless as ice. "Anyway, your future seems brighter than Su Mu, so let me give you a piece of advice..."

Then, all of a sudden, the Ice Queen shot a murderous killing gaze at her brother, her voice yet still calm and composed. "Keep your distance from Su Mu; if you're together with him, your success will be surely hindered because of him."

"You may leave now; I'm going to cultivate." And just like that, she sent Su Mu, his group, and Yang Kai out of her house, immediately closing the door in their faces without giving them a proper salute or even a second look. She was really worthy of being called the Ice Queen. She didn't even care for her own little brother!

"..." Su Mu was still so shocked because of what just happened that he didn't even dare to talk or move. He was so shocked that he hadn't even noticed that his group of friends had already left to look for some cultivation pills in the marketplace! He was shocked, ashamed... he was everything! He had even lost all of his dignity in front of his senior brother Yang Kai because of his sister! His fricking sister! What did she even find into ridiculizing him right in front of his friend?! Why did he have the worst sister in all of the world?

"Ehm, Junior brother?" Yang Kai called the seemingly pietrified Su Mu out. "Are you there?"

"Y-Yes!" He immediately snapped out of his paralysis at his words. "What's it, senior brother?!"

"I just wanted to take a look around here alone." Yang Kai said. "If that's okay with you, that is..."

"Ah, y-yes, see you again, senior brother Yang Kai!"

"See you then!"

Yang Kai walked around the hidden marketplace, looking for Yang attribute items, unfortunately, not finding any. "Sigh... why am I even searching for them in the first place... I don't even have a tael with me. Well, but maybe I can exchange those ten lesser Qi replenishing pills for them. Since one of them is worth about fifty taels..."

"I'll only have five hundred taels... sigh... there's not much I can really do with only five hund-"

"Hey, you!" Suddenly, an angered yet cute feminine voice loudly called Yang Kai out. "Stop right there!"

Yang Kai, taken aback, immediately stopped and turned his head towards the voice, only to see a pink-haired beautiful and petite girl angrily coming towards him. She looked familiar, he had surely seen her somewhere, but he couldn't remember where...

"Ehm, sorry, but do I know you?" Yang Kai asked.

"You don't need to know me! Just tell me where that fucker Mo Fan is and shut up!" She said, her anger and frustration clearly evident in her voice.

"Mo Fan? And who's that?"

"Don't joke with me, you ant! You were fighting against Cheng Shao Feng with him that day! You should remember me! My beauty isn't so easy to forget!"

"Cheng Shao Feng... wait! Are you that girl I left Mo Fan deal with? I understand now! You're searching him to ask him to take his responsabilities for what the two of you did that day, right?" Yang Kai joked with the clear reason of angering and annoying her even more. She was too arrogant. Yang Kai had to show her that the world didn't work as she wished!

But, instead of receiving an irritated expression, her skin went totally red, her embarassment skyrocketing to the roof. Were his words just now true? Just how much of a playboy was Mo Fan?

"So that's the reason!" Yang Kai added, trying to further investigate if her heart had really been stolen by his best friend because he couldn't believe it! Ok, this was believable... this girl seemed quite easy to pick up... but Su Yan, the Ice Queen?! How could he make her use words as cute and adorable for him? Well, ok, he was handsome, perhaps even the most handsome guy Yang Kai had ever seen in his life, he had to admit, and the face that he makes when he sees money can be described with cute, after all money and power were Mo Fan's only pursue in life, but Su Yan wasn't one to be intrigued by only good looks!

"N-No!" Hu Mei'er blurted out, her skin getting redder and redder. "Now tell me where he is!"

"Ok, ok, Mo Fan shold be at his house, the High Heaven Pavilion's biggest workshop, but be sure to wear protections, I don't want to become a martial uncle so young..." Yang Kai said, trying to joke and annoy her a little bit more, but, unfortunately, Hu Mei'er had already immediately ran away to Mo Fan's place as soon as she heard it where it was, so not hearing it even in the slightest.

"Sigh... I guess that I should ask Mo Fan to teach me how to pick up girls..."
