Nancy's Revenge

Nancy lay in her room, tears streaming down her face as Vincent wrapped his arms around her, offering what comfort he could. The guards were moving her things out.

  "So, Summer's a Reeve?"

"Yes and that bitch kicked me out," she sobbed, her voice muffled against his chest. "I have nothing now..." she cried dramatically. "Vincent, you're all I have." Vincent's mind raced as he pieced everything together. He had actually broken up with a Reeve for a Cale. This was bad.

"But your grandfather left you something, didn't he?" he asked gently. Nancy nodded, her tears still flowing freely. "Yes, 2 million. But what am I supposed to do with that?" she cried, hitting his chest  Vincent knew he had to act fast. He gently made her sit up, looking into her eyes with feigned sincerity.

"Hey, look at me. Why don't you give me the money? I have a friend who can invest in it for me, for us." Nancy hesitated, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. Could she trust Vincent with such a significant sum of money? But then again, she loved him, she knew she could trust him. He wasn't going to leave her, right? With a sigh, she handed him the cheque, hoping he would come through for them. Vincent's smile was triumphant as he looked at the cheque. "Thank you, baby," he said, patting her head affectionately. "Rest, okay? Let me buy you some food."

Nancy nodded, childlike as she pouted her lips for a kiss. But to her dismay, Vincent simply walked away, leaving her frowning as he disappeared from view. But Vincent's intentions were far from genuine, and as he plotted his next move. On his way out, he saw Summer come in. She and Chris had left with Mr Reeve so he could show her the companies, but she thought she forgot something, so she came back. Vincent's plea echoed through the room as he approached her.

"Summer, I was only with Nancy because she was helping me find a job. I've always loved you," he professed, reaching out to touch her hand. Summer's response was cold. She recoiled from his touch.

"Don't flatter yourself. You know nothing about love. The only thing you care about is money," she shot, her tone laced with scorn. "Please, get out of my way." Summer attempted to brush past him, Vincent refused to let her go, his desperation mounting.

"I love you, please," he pleaded, his grip tightening on her hand. Suddenly, Summer's patience snapped, and she delivered a swift kick to his groin. Vincent doubled over in pain, clutching himself as he crumpled to the ground.

"Touch me again and I'll make sure you don't pass on your bad genes." She yelled. Nancy emerged from her room, anger visible on her face.

"Get your hands off him." she spat, rushing to Vincent's side. Summer scoffed at Nancy's accusation.

"Are you blind? He's begging me to get back with him."

"She's right Nancy, I can't put up with your shit anymore. I was only with you because of your money. I've always loved Summer." he said, trying to get up from the floor. Nancy's eyes widened and her mouth agape. Fed up with the drama, Summer dismissed them both.

"I don't have time for this. Both of you, leave me alone," she commanded, making her way towards the door. Vincent attempted to follow her, but Nancy grabbed hold of him, refusing to let him go.

"Let go of me. You're worthless to me now. You ruined everything between Summer and I. I want nothing to do with you," he spat, wrenching himself free from her grasp.

"Then give me back my money!" Nancy protested, tears welling up in her eyes. Vincent sneered, mocking her pitiful tone.

"Consider it a severance fee. Don't follow me," he declared, before storming out of the house.

"You'll regret this. You and Summer!" She yelled after him. Left alone, Nancy seethed with anger. They couldn't do this to her! No one got away with messing with her. With a steely mind and revenge-filled heart, she took her phone and dialed a number.

"Big T, I need a favor," she said, her voice cold.

The next day, Nancy's belongings were all packed up as she made her way to meet Mr. Reeve, who was seated in the living room, engrossed in reading a file. She approached him, holding two cups of tea in her hands.

"What do you still want from me, Nancy?" he asked, not looking up from his book for a second. Nancy smiled sweetly.

"Have some tea, grandpa," she replied, handing it to her. Mr. Reeve accepted the tea, studying her carefully. He couldn't help but wonder what she was up to this time.

"I just wanted to apologize for everything that I have done and how my behavior might have hurt you, for that, i am sorry" she said. Mr. Reeve looked up, surprised by her sudden change.

"I'm so happy to hear that," he replied. "I only want what's best for you. You can learn to live a new life abroad, an honest one, but I can't take you back." He meant what he said. And nothing was going to change his mind.

Nancy smirked, a glint of malice in her eyes. "Alright, grandpa.." she said as he began to drink the tea. "You've made your choice," What Mr Reeve didn't know was that she had laced the tea with sleeping pills. As Mr. Reeve began to feel drowsy, he struggled to maintain his composure.

"I knew you would choose Summer over me so, I've made my choice." She said. Watching him wobble on the chair, holding his head.

"You look tired, grandpa. Come, take a nap," Nancy cooed, placing a pillow behind his head as he succumbed to the effects of the drugs, slipping into a deep sleep.

"And when you wake up, I'll be the only choice you have," she whispered with a sinister laugh. She took her phone and dialed Summer. Summer was preparing to go out, when she saw Nancy's call. She rolled her eyes. What now? She didn't want to pick but, she wanted to hear what she had to say.

"Summer! How are you?" Nancy began.

"I have no time to exchange pleasantries with you." Summer was about to hang up.

"Hang up, and you'll never see your grandpa again." Nancy threatened. Summer's heart raced as she listened to Nancy's chilling threat over the phone.

"What did you do?" she demanded, her voice trembling with fear. Nancy's voice was cold and devoid of emotion.

"Meet me by the old factory by the 101 and come alone. Tell a soul and the old bastard is dead. You know I'd do it. I have nothing to lose," she warned. "You have 30 minutes to get there." Nancy hung up. What the hell was wrong with her? Why wouldn't she just give up already? When would she realize she couldn't win? Summer's mind raced as she called Chris.

"Nancy has Grandpa, I have to go save him." with a sense of urgency, she told Chris, her voice filled with desperation.

Chris's voice was filled with concern.

"What? Stay right where you are, I'm on my way " he insisted, but Summer knew there was no time to waste.

"There's no time. Meet me at the old factory," she pleaded, before hanging up and rushing out the door to confront Nancy and save her grandfather.

As Summer frantically searched the old factory for Nancy and her grandfather, a sense of unease settled over her. Every creak of the abandoned building scared her. How could Nancy do this? This had to end once and for all. Suddenly, she felt someone behind her, and before she could react, a handkerchief was pressed over her nose and mouth. Panic surged through her as she struggled to break free, but the person behind her was too strong. With every second, her consciousness slipped away. Despite her efforts, Summer succumbed to the overpowering fumes of the substance soaked the cloth, her body going limp as darkness consumed her.
