Diane was already in tears by the time Christian had finished making his heartfelt confessions to her.

She was so touched that she could no longer control her emotions and burst into tears.
Her lower lips trembled as she lowered her gaze. She couldn't meet his eyes anymore and stayed in that position until he brought her into his arms.
She put her jaw on his shoulder and quickly wrapped her arms around him. She let her tears fall as he comforted her with his warm embrace.
Christian's eyes softened. He couldn't begin to fathom exactly what he was feeling right now.
It's been almost five years since he felt this close to Diane. It's been such a long time since they were both vulnerable to each other, and having her in his arms reminded him of how much he had missed with her.
