CH382. I have known you for twenty years

"Ah Chen?" Ye Xiao Xiao calls with creased brows.

"Mmh?"

"You have said that I have been on your mind for?" She asks and looks at him carefully.

She thinks that she has just had her own words. Did he say almost twenty years?

But she has known him for only the last one and a half years.

"Mmh, I have known you for twenty years. I have known you since you were four years old," Lu Min Chen says calmly and holds her face.

Ye Xiao Xiao is so confused. Four years old? He has known her since she was four years old. But, even she herself cannot remember anything about herself when she was below six years!

"It is true Xiao Xiao. I have known you for this long. I am sorry I kept you in the dark. That was the reason I never let you go. I knew you had to be mine..."

"Does that mean that we met at that time? Can you tell me about it? I do not have any of those memories."

Lu Min Chen gently wipes away her tears. He brought up the topic intentionally to divert her thoughts. He did not want her to continue crying.

"You were so young at that time. And so cute! I loved your courage. And you kept me company for almost two years," Lu Min Chen explains with all seriousness.

"Ah! Ah Chen," Ye Xiao Xiao calls. "You know my head will burst. Did that really happen?"

"You do not trust me?" Lu Min Chen asks with a smile. "Do you think that you just got to work for me naturally? My parents did a lot of work..." 

He laughs remembering how his parents had forced her dad to get her engaged and work for him.

"Then..."

"Xiao Xiao, do you remember anything about fire?" Lu Min Chen asks.

"Fire?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks back, and her face turns tensed up. She is always so scared about fires. But she does not remember when she ever had a bad experience with them.

That is even part of the reason why until now, she does not know how to cook well. She hates being close to any form of heat.

She has even been having nightmares about fires at times. And she failed to understand the meaning behind it

Deciding not to keep hiding everything from her, Lu Min Chen explains to her how he met her at the orphanage and what that transpired after that.

"Huh? Why were they after me?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks in fear.

"Xiao Xiao, your are someone special. You do not now about your computer skills? You can either help the world or destroy it completely. I think only your memories were deleted and you forgot about your talent."

Having mentioned her memories again, Ye Xiao Xiao sighs. Lu Chong Mu deleted her memories just because he did not want her close to his grandson.

Why is that man so inhuman? He cares about no one but himself!
