I consider myself to be a man of science. I make cool stuff and do shit stuff with the cool stuff. But even I believe in fate.

Now hear me out!

Fate is considered to be an invisible force that controls everything in this world. A string held by laws of this world to control the puppets.

While the whole notion is quite ominous, it does prove a point in cause and effect.

You eat tons of food and you feel sick. If there is an effect, there is a cause. But what about freedom? The real question is…what is freedom.

Physics tells me that if I bounce a super ball on a hard surface, newton's laws will hold true and the ball will bounce back. A ton of equations can be used to determine the direction and speed of the ball and even the bounces it will take until it stops moving. But that is all an estimate… The reason for this estimate is that no human being nor computer has been able to take in all the factors in an environment. To find the specific air resistance, we'd need to know the exact number of air molecules in a room.

Okay, so the 'fate' of all objects are determined, but we're not objects, we're human! We have free will!

….Do you? Are you not just a very complex network of neurons that responds to stimuli. While the presence of soul is arguably the best counter to the points I made.

It only stands because there is not enough research about soul.

So now to the main question.

Why did Hitogami say that I was free form the influence of fate.

…..Well he didn't lie, but he also wasn't completely honest. The slimy mist god was correct about me being free, solely because I was 'foreign matter' that was introduced in a controlled environment.

It did change the behavior of everything around me, sometimes miniscule, sometimes huge.

For example, Tessia being a tomboy and Alea being a pervert…..

You can also call this a butterfly effect, but in the end, the world shifted a little to accommodate my existence.

Those mangas I read where the main characters say "The world is trying to kill me."

…Yeah, they meant every word they said. The world shifted to accommodate the isekaied people, just in a very negative direction.

So how do I complete Hitogami's request? He wants to live in this world but also stay safe. Something tells me the world's shift on his entry will not be positive. Although it has shown to be pretty good so far i.e. the Asuras who came from another world and basically pasted their kingdom on this world.

I had to simulate this entire world and find a sweet spot for my client, making sure that he is safe. I also need to make sure he doesn't try anything funny here like conquering the world.

It was possible to do this when it's me and Veritas. The migraine would've put me in a coma in about 50 seconds, but adding veritas into it will cause an exponential increase in duration. Because computers do not feel pain.

Hmm..... well I suppose it's better without me. Like a giant wave, data started to generate and form complex structures until it developed into LUCA. From then on I watched the development of more organisms at a terrifying rate until we reached the present.

From then on, it was basically a constant stream of re-do. Trial and error continued until power ran out and I was ejected to the outside world.

A mechanical hand came out from under the desk and released the gas before I could cause more stimulation to my brain and effectively overstimulate it.

And just like that, I had a real sleep for the first time since enhancing my brain.

Sleep is the result of fatigue after all…
