Luna isn't just a simple girl. Others might perceive her as such but this book smart person is hiding something deep in her mind. She promised to hide it forever and lived as a normal person would but some force didn't want to waste such talent. One unlucky day, she found herself in a mysterious place untouched by the modern stuff she's familiar with. The people wear weird clothes, the houses looked old-style, and everything is so simple. It might look simple on the surface but that world had always been full of mysteries hidden deep within and waiting to be found. The place is just like her. She did her best to keep her secrets but the longer she lived there, the harder it is to hide her secrets in the dark. "There's no helping it, let's just embrace the truth," she uttered. "Keep it easy, young lady," a man in his deep, cold voice appeared behind. "Alright" "B-but get away from me" ------ Daily updates
Luna was sitting on a wooden bench in the hallway of the castle's entrance when Blair saw her while passing by. She was impossible to be someone else as her black hair and black eyes were a rare color. Then his eyes widened when he saw her luggage out of her room. With long strides, he walked up to her.
"Luna!" he said.
She turned her head and greeted Blair with a weak smile that was plastered on her face.
"Hello," she said.
"Are you leaving Magic Academy?" he said.
Luna didn't what to say. Her weak smile quickly turned into an awkward smile. This time, he was wrong, though she would think that something was wrong if Blair guessed her situation accurately.
She shook her head to ease Blair's mood.
"Long story short, I left from my previous team. I'll explain the details later," she said.
He heaved a sigh of relief but quickly changed his mood as it would be wrong to be happy in front of his friend with a problem today. Her expression was blank and he could see her tightly clenched fists. It was a serious problem.
"We can solve it but it will depend on you," he said.
Blair sat on the bench beside her and continued their conversation.
"What do you mean?" Luna asked.
"You can join our fleeting team. We still lack one member," Blair said.
Upon hearing that, her face flushed in embarrassment. As far as she knew, Blair was a man so it meant his roommates were likely to be boys. She didn't know what he was thinking but it was still an act of gratitude.
"No thanks," she said.
Blair hastily waved his hands to clear her misunderstanding.
"Listen to me first, my roommate are siblings. They are girl and boy. You can share your room with her since there are only two rooms but both rooms are enough for two persons. You can meet them if you want and then decide after. We will make sure that we will not do something that makes you leave," he said.
Blair talked rapidly while explaining that made Luna laughed lightly. She nodded her head. She had no choice anyway. She stood up immediately while he looked at her confusedly.
"What are you waiting for? Let's check your designated room. Having you as a fleeting teammate isn't that bad," Luna said.
It was not a bad idea and also, they would be looking for her anytime soon. Losing their magic would make them suspicious of her and she didn't have the strength to face them now. If it did happen, news would spread that three seniors had gone missing.
"Okay, that's fast but nevermind. I am deeply happy to have you as a teammate," he said.
He even bowed lightly that made Luna feel uncomfortable. It was his habit that was hard to erase. Then they walked towards the staircase with Blair carrying her luggage while Luna had her leather bag filled with her jewels and potions.
"Wait, let's go to the left hallway," Luna said.
Blair went confused but suddenly remembered that her former room was located near the right hallway. He nodded and didn't ask any further. After that, they walked again towards the third floor as his designated room was located there.
Luna thought that she couldn't afford to be late again as her soon to be room was located on the third floor. She sighed.
Blair knocked when they reached the room. A young girl opened it. She was smaller than Luna.
"Blair, oh, you're with a woman. Welcome, welcome!" she said.
She widely opened the door and let them enter.
"You're with a luggage? So you finally have your girl in our team!" she continued.
Luna awkwardly smile and was about to explain when Blair took the liberty of explaining.
"She's not, Elle, Luna is a dear friend I met on our first day. Isn't she familiar?" Blair said
The small woman looked towards her and smiled. "You're the famous healer! I am seeing a great future ahead of us!" she said.
Blair placed down the luggage in the living room while Luna and Elle continued talking to each other.
"I'm Elle Winterstar, a senior and, a daughter of an astrologer in North Village. I guess my last name says it all." She said with a small laugh.
Elle caught Luna's attention after hearing the word astrology.
'Someone went curious here about stars huh?' Luna thought.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Lady Luna Noir sien Mendelevinn though I supposed you know me already," Luna uttered.
"Of course who wouldn't know you! I'll show you to our room," Elle said.
Luna nodded. Elle looked like a child but she knew she wasn't one. Her light red eyes weren't as innocent as a child.
The bedroom was a lot smaller than her former one but it surprisingly brought her some comfort. It reminded Luna of her bedroom back on Earth. Nothing could make her in comfort and completely unsuspecting than in her own former house and especially not after what had recently happened.
On the left side, there was a double-deck bed to leave a lot of space for the two tables and two huge wardrobes.
"It wasn't that luxurious as your former teams but I hope you like it. We'll definitely level up in the near future!" she said.
Then Elle put her right hand near her mouth, tried to level her height from Luna, and whispered. "So the trio is finally showing her true colors huh, I thought it is just rumors seeing that they managed to let you join."
Luna furrowed her brows. She knew what Elle was talking about but she didn't hear any rumors about them. The news didn't reach her ears in her two weeks of stay. It seemed like the difference between Earth and Vermillion was starting to show.
Without digital gadgets, one couldn't anonymously spread old bad news about a person without her/his life in danger especially when death could be ones ending in Vermillion.
"What do you mean?" Luna asked.
Elle instructed her to sit on the chair's study table and they both started talking.
"There's a rumor spreading four years ago that an underhanded move was done before the senior exam started. It was the time the leader of the Sapphire section, Lady Ashley took the exam and passed. It's good that I took the exam one year later," Elle said.
Luna didn't say anything. She somehow became too much content about her surroundings that she didn't notice a person's true nature.
"Anyway, it seems that my brother is here already, let's meet him!" Elle said.
Luna nodded and lightly smiled.
"Okay."
