"Well, that's even better."
Percival smiled at Wallace as he further explained.
"I know that with your current skills, you have a high chance to be a participant. You just have to continue your outstanding performance."
"I will." Wallace nodded as he understood what the headmaster was trying to tell.
"So, the reason I called you here is that I want to give you an opportunity. You can accept or decline it... But since you've mentioned you want to join the competition... I suggest you accept it."
Wallace was delighted about being given an opportunity. But he was quite curious about the reason for the headmaster to be willing to give him an opportunity, he was about to ask but Percival seemed to have read his mind.
"The magic structure you've created, it is very helpful... very."
The headmaster smiled mysteriously at him and he didn't want to delve too much about it as well so Wallace did not ask further. He was more concerned about the opportunity that the other mentioned.
"I don't know how you managed to create it and since our army or country will benefit from it I'd like to give you a task." Percival cleared his throat before continuing.
"There's an ongoing project being managed by your seniors here in the Academy. Unfortunately, they are currently stuck on that project and they couldn't make progress. So if you were to help them, then your participation in the competition would be in the bag. Would you like to give them a hand?"
"Of course, I'll be willing to help. But Sir, you've mentioned that they are my seniors? Can I really be of help?"
Wallace smiled wryly as it was common sense that seniors had much more advanced knowledge. If 1st year in the Academy was a foundation building and 2nd year was focused more on theoretical knowledge, the 3rd years had been immersed in a lot of practical training. Almost every day throughout their academic year they would be in intensive training on their selected course.
"Good! The third-year students you'll assist are in the Artifact Forging Class and all currently busy doing research in a particular magic structure. I believe that you'll be able to help them. You can meet them tomorrow."
"If you think that highly of me, then I will do my best, Sir" Wallace had accepted the task not only because he wanted to have a chance to participate in the competition but because he received another mission from the Pathfinder.
[ It is better to grab a rare chance to improve yourself.
Mission: Assist your seniors in the research project they are currently stuck on.
Mission Reward: x2 Random Memory Crystal
Bonus Reward: If the mission is completed with the highest rating, the user will receive x1 Mystery Box ]
Wallace wasn't even aware of the project that his seniors were working on. But since the mission was already there and no penalty if he failed it, he accepted it without hesitation.
"That's good, I will explain to you the details... No, Instructor Elaine is almost here so she'll explain it to you."
As soon as the headmaster finished speaking, the door in the room was knocked on before a gorgeous lady entered. She was wearing casual attire, not looking like an instructor at all as she wasn't wearing the academy's instructor uniform. She was wearing a red cardigan and a modest skirt and holding a handbag on her left. She smiled and greeted the two of them.
"Good afternoon, Headmaster Percival and you too Wallace."
Wallace greeted back, a bit confused for a second before remembering that this instructor was handling the first section of 3rd-year class.
Most likely, it will be her student whom I'll be assisting. He thought and could only guess at this point.
Anyway, she'll tell me what I should do to help them.

The night before Wallace would start providing his assistance to his seniors in the academy, he was contacted by the Director of Bureau of Patent about purchasing rights on the manufacturing of the Magic Jammer Canceller. Wallace wasn't too sure about the pricing of this and had to ask assistance to his parents who willingly agreed to help by negotiating on behalf of him. He was told by his parents that the amount would be transferred on his bank account and he just had to wait for it.
"It seems I'll be able to purchase better materials for practice." He needed money as well to enhance his forging skills. He was planning to purchase bulk materials and practice since he still lacked experience in forging though he had enough knowledge.
"Working with seniors tomorrow might be tough. Haaa... I need to rest now."
Wallace shook his head and after few breaths, he slept soundly as he needed to have a good rest for his battle tomorrow with his seniors.

Later that night. Two people wearing black cloaks were on top of a certain building in the center of Tanza City.
"Raven, how is the new artifact?"
"Not bad. I tried it with Crow's Magic Jammer and it works perfectly."
Raven answered with a grin on his face. He was very satisfied with the new artifact he received. He was currently wearing a ring with a small Jax stone on it where the magic structure for the Magic Jammer Canceller could be infused to.
"We can take our revenge now with that guy. He injured our new guy, we can't let him get away with it. What about you, Hawk?" Raven added.
Both of them wore more than six mana artifacts and were wearing military uniform under the cloak. They both wore the trademark bracers of Zairus.
They were a member of a special magic corps of Zairus, the Lucent Force. It was a small group of elite magicians nurtured by the country.
Their new friend was injured by an enemy spy who infiltrated the country. Tonight, they received the new artifact to destroy the trump card of their enemy and would not let this opportunity slip.
"Mhm... Good. We move now. Our Lucent Force would not take this lying down."
After saying this, both men melted in the shadow of the night and disappeared.
