"What happened to you guys?" asked Noah in caution.

Lucas stepped forward to say something but Noah and Emma looked startled and took a step back.

"You two.." Lucas' anger almost exploded seeing their reaction.

Suddenly Noah and Emma pinched their noses ignoring the three of them. "Don't come any closer!" While pointing a cardboard stick at them.

"Oh I see. So you guys feel disgusted with us. Think we are smelly and dirty. Very good." quipped Lucas. He glanced at Michael and Andrew then smiled faintly. "You know what? Michael and Andrew, you knew what to do."

"Roger! Captain Trevillion."

"What are you guys doing? Stop right there!" Noah looks scared with Emma.

Michael and Andrew keep moving forward even though Noah keeps warning them. They raised their hands like a zombie looking for its prey.

Lucas watched them in awe, while the onlooker kept looking at him and gossiping.

"He's handsome, but how come he's dirty and smelly." They whisper.

Lucas annoyingly glared at them. "Pissed off!" They get shocked and move away.

In the meanwhile, the closer Michael and Andrew got, the more Noah and Emma panicked. The moment Michael and Andrew picked up their pace, screams broke out.

"AHHHHHHHH!" Noah and Emma immediately ran away.

"Chase!" Lucas gave out orders.

But not long after they ran, Emma fell down. Noah notices and approaches her. "Emma, are you alright?"

"It's ok, Noah. You go. Don't mind me. Save yourself." She said.

Noah is moved by Emma. Seeing Emma's helplessness, he turned to face Michael and Andrew alone. The moment Noah made a move, everything suddenly went pitch black.

Afterward.

"You guys are really reckless! If it's just children it's probably understandable. But with adults there, you guys can still get into trouble. Truly amazing!" Noah kept nagging while preparing suppers in the kitchen.

Meanwhile Lucas, Michael and Andrew, who had just taken a shower, sat cross-legged with a lump on each of their heads staring at the ground, waiting for the food to be served.

Noah brought several plates of fried noodles to the folding table in front of them. "Now eat, then go home and sleep."

The three of them nodded their heads and ate.

"I'm going to take a shower first. Make sure you guys are done eating by the time I'm done too." Noah warned them.

"Yes" said the three of them.

Noah took his time grabbing his clothes then went into the bathroom.

"I told you guys. We're going to end up tragically." Michael complained without stopping slurping his fried noodles.

"Who would have known he would use violence to end it." Lucas said.

"Well, maybe we crossed the line. I didn't know it would turn out like this either. We're done. You take care of dirty dishes, me and Andrew are going home first. Bye."

Both of them stood up and walked towards the door. They open and close it in a flash, leaving Lucas alone. Meanwhile, Noah also came out of the bathroom.

"Where are the kids?" Noah asks.

"They go back." Lucas answered him.

"So fast and furious?" Noah put down his towel and picked up their plates to the kitchen.

"I'm going back too." Lucas rose.

"You too? Let me walk you to where your car is. This place is kind of dangerous to walk alone at night.." offered Noah.

"And you weren't scared?"

"It's ok. I have lived here for quite a time. I can handle it myself. Let's go." Noah put on an outer and sent Lucas out.

"You weren't scared of me anymore?" ask Lucas while walking outside with Noah.

Noah looked confused. "Why would I?"

"When we met at the banquet event, you looked scared. It's the same when we met in the office. You seem to be keeping your distance. But today, you called my name as well as beat me. That's why I'm asking."

'He's back to his gentle side.' thought Noah.

"Since you say you wouldn't fire me without any consent if I work properly, I think I could at least take you as my friend when we are outside. As for keeping distance while we are at work is a normal thing to do. I don't want people to think I lick my upper up's ass for a living though." Noah explained.

"Is that so? I understand. We are here, you can go back now." said Lucas.

Noah narrowed his eyes. "Wait." He approached Lucas' car to get a better look since it was dark there. "Look." Noah pointed with his finger.

"What is it?" At the moment Lucas approached and observed clearly, he got angry. "The fuck!"

The wheels of the car disappeared.

Lucas was really furious. He looked around repeatedly looking for the suspect. "TWICE!" He kicks his car.

Noah dropped one knee and checked the dust with his finger around the car. "Calm down. I think it happened a while ago. We won't be able to find them anymore."

"The fuck is wrong with this place!"

Noah rose. "Don't blame them. There are too many underprivileged people residing here. Next time don't bring your car here again." Noah explained with a worried expression. "So what's your plan now?"

"I don't know!" Lucas replied quickly. Since he was still angry.

Noah let out a sigh and told him, "You can stay the night if you want. But I only have one bed, it might be too cramped for us."

Hearing that Lucas couldn't help but feel overjoyed. He felt happy inside but didn't dare to express it in front of Noah, so he pretended to be still sulking when he answered. "If you said so."

"Then let's go. It's not good to stay here any longer." Noah walked in front followed by Lucas.

Arriving home, Noah took out a spare blanket from the closet for Lucas.

"Let's sleep." Noah tells Lucas.

"So soon?"

"I have to go to a few places tomorrow to see if there are things to collect. The goods are almost sold out. Just a few left in there." Noah points his finger near the front door.

"Ok." Lucas climbed onto the bed and covered himself with the blanket Noah gave him. But the blanket seems to be too short for Lucas to cover his whole body.

"I'm going to turn off the light."

Lucas nodded his head. Noah turns off the light and joins him. At first Noah thought maybe the two of them could fit in together but after lying down together, it turned out that the bed was really narrow.

"Is this really okay? We can't barely move." Lucas asked.

"Let's lie sideways, face to face." Noah grabbed Lucas by the shoulders. Now they are facing each other. "That's better. Now let's sleep."

Noah shut his eyes, while Lucas is left wide awake with that position.

'How am I going to sleep while facing your face like that ??' thought Lucas.

Lucas tried to close his eyes when he saw Noah was not moving anymore. But after a while his efforts were in vain. He couldn't sleep at all.

Leaving him with no choice other than watching Noah sleeping, Lucas ends up observing Noah closely.

'For an Asian, he does look different. Pretty face, porcelain skin, slender body. Doesn't look like someone who has a hard life. Or is he good at taking care of himself? I've heard Asian people usually look younger than their age too.'

"Stop staring! Sleep!" Noah suddenly speaks while still closing his eyes.

Lucas jolted and immediately closed his eyes. Didn't dare to open his eyes again, Lucas finally fell asleep after a while struggling with it.
