Chapter 23

When Taria reached her room, five maids were waiting for her beside the head maid Lessy. Taria felt she had to run, but before she could do that, the maids caught her and sat her down on the chair, then they started doing their work. One maid was doing Taria's nails, two were doing her hair, one was doing her makeup, one was getting the outfit ready, while the head maid was watching them carefully to make sure their work would be done perfectly.

Taria felt dizzy with eight hands moving around her so fast, so she broke free from their hands and jumped to the bed

"What the hell is going on?", Taria said while looking around her as a mouse that is surrounded by cats

"My lady, you need to get ready to go out with the young lord, please get down so we could finish doing our work", the head maid said while bowing her head gently

"What young lord! Tian and I are going to eat dinner, why are you making such a big fuss about that?" Taria said

"My lady, perfect work needs time. It might seem early to you but we don't really have that much time left", the head maid said, making Taria feel bad for the innocent maids, so she sat on the chair again while thinking how she would punish Tian later.

After two hours of working non-stop that gave Taria a headache, she was finally ready, wearing a skinny black dress that reached under her knees, with silver jewelry that made the simple dress look elegant, and black heels that made it hard for Taria to walk. Her hair was loose, falling over her shoulders like a waterfall, her make up included red lipstick that made her white soft skin look even whiter, and for the last touch, a maid sprayed perfume for Taria, making her the perfect young lady that the head maid was looking for.

Ve entered the room after knocking the door, and once he saw Taria, he froze for a moment while his eyes got wider.

"How do I look?" Taria said with the same sparkling eyes that Ve got used to, yet he didn't say anything, rather than that, he walked towards her calmly, taking his hands out of his pockets as well as a silver necklace with black diamond in the middle of it, then he placed it on her chest after taking off the one the maids chose.

"You look perfect", Ve said while putting his hands on Taria's shoulders, yet she felt that his words were hiding a huge amount of sadness. Taria wanted to ask Ve if he was ok, but he gave her an arm to lean on, so she just grabbed his arm and walked out with a warm smile.

When Ve and Taria reached the outside, Tian was waiting for them beside his black car, fixing his sleeve pins, and wearing a black suit that matched well with his black hair and eyes. When Tian saw Taria who was still holding Ve's arm, and walking down the stairs with the sunset red light making her hair and eyes more shiny, he felt the time had slowed down. He couldn't breathe, nor could he take his eyes off her as she was looking at him with a bright smile that he wasn't able to live without anymore. Tian stayed still, amazed by Taria's beauty, then he offered his arm for her to lean on instead of Ve's after they reached the end of the stairs. He rolled his eyes over her, however, he stopped once his eyes fell on the necklace she was wearing, and a dream snapped in his brain, giving him a heavy feeling.

"Tian, are you ok? Tian", Taria said, then he gasped, and looked in her eyes with a smile on his blushing face that forced her to smile back.

"You look.. gorgeous", Tian said, holding her hands, then he opened the car door for her and closed it after sitting her down.

"Good luck, brother", Ve said while Tian was heading to the driver's seat, and Tian nodded his head softly, then he entered the car and drove away, leaving Ve with a cold look in his eyes.

"Kai, I need your help", Ve said, talking on the phone, and in the other end of the call, a white haired man with a dragon tattoo on his back got out of the swimming pool and wore his robe, then he said "five minutes only, and I will be beside you".

At the same time, Tian and Taria were in the car. He was driving at a normal speed that he wasn't used to to not give her a bad feeling, while she was thankful for that, and they were having a peaceful conversation as the ones they had at their night shifts, making them both at ease after the crazy past days.

"Suits really suit you. You look like a famous CEO of a big company", Taria said while smiling

"I hate wearing them though, I'm more into comfy clothes", Tian said, moving his eyes between Taria and the road

"Yeah, me too. Dresses and heels are Mia's specialty, not mine", Taria said

"You would look good even if you wore a plastic bag, however, you look extremely pretty wearing dresses", Tian said, making Taria's blood move faster towards her face, so she tried to change the subject fast while looking out of the window to hide her blushing face

"Where are we going?" Taria said while looking at the road

"It's a surprise, and we are going to go to more than one place", Tian said while smirking.
