With haste, Emily opened the door to her mother's house, and once both she and her son were in, she shut the door quickly behind them. Rushing towards her mother's kitchen window, Emily made sure to look outside just in case the figure had appeared again, but there was none.
"What is wrong with you, young woman? Why do you look so worried?" Emily quickly turned around, and she saw her mother walking out of her room and looking worried as well.
Emily quickly flashed a light in her son's direction, hoping that that would be enough to calm him down.
"My sweet little boy, can you please go inside your room? Your grandmother and I need to have a little conversation." She told her son, and without any hesitation, he agreed and walked towards his room, leaving only Emily and her mother.
"Now that my grandson is gone, would you care to tell me why you walked into my house looking as though you had seen a ghost?"
"He is back, Mother?"
