Chapter 13

When Aunty Mira took Jason out of the hospital as they stopped a cab that drove them all the way home, After getting home Aunty Mira asked Jason if he wants anything for supper before going to bed and he said he would love to have instant noodles before turning on the TV and switch the channel to anime series as he sat on the couch while watching naruto Shippuden. Meanwhile, Aunty Mira was busy taking care of the dirty dishes before preparing noodles for him and at the same time chatting with her friends on WeChat.

Five minutes later Aunty Mira walked out of the kitchen while holding a flat plate filled with noodles.

After leaving the kitchen, she called Jason to come and take his noodles before heading back to the kitchen to prepare toasted bread and a hot chocolate for herself. When she was done preparing her toasted bread and hot chocolate, she went back to join Jason in the living room. 

Seeing him watching anime and she kind of find it interesting as she asked.

"Jason, what is the title of the anime you are watching"?.

When Jason heard his Aunty asking about the anime he was watching he became confused and answered her question out of curiosity.

"Aunty Mira it's naruto Shippuden, why do you ask?" replied Jason as he turned to take a look at her while waiting for answers.

"It's nothing,  I was just curious which is why I asked" Aunty Mira replied with a smile before taking her seat.

"Curious of what" asked Jason as he doesn't want to give up.

Seeing that his nephew doesn't want to drop the topic makes her almost curse at him in her mind but then an idea struck her and it was only then that she replied to his unending question.

 "It reminds me of an anime series your father and I used to watch back then when we were still kids, which is why I ask you for the title to know if it's still the same anime and shouldn't you be reading your books instead of focusing on watching all this animation?".

"Oh, okay though naruto Shippuden is not a new series but it's still not complete yet so I believe it is not the series that you and my daddy used to watch and as for my studies, I usually take a today as a relaxing day according to dad" said Jason before turning to face the television.

"Are you sure it's not a new series"? asked Aunty Mira while focusing her gaze on the television as she pretended to be looking for traits of the anime she watched with her brother.

"Am pretty sure it's not a new series, you can also check Google to confirm your doubt" replied Jason with confidence as he smiled at her.

"There is no need to check the net for a small matter like this" said Aunty Mira as she decided to drop the matter with Jason but she was already on the net searching for when they started airing naruto Shippuden and was shocked to see that it was aired in September 1999 and she quickly checked for the first episode and where to watch it and to her surprised there were many websites she could pick from. 

After discovering where to watch the anime, Aunty Mira quietly went and lay on the couch and put her bluetooth headphones on before establishing a connection between her smartphone and bluetooth headphones and started watching naruto Shippuden online without Jason noticing and whenever he turned to ask his aunty for something, she would quickly swipe the application away.

Meanwhile, Jason was busy watching the anime until it came to an end before another anime was played. He watched anime for a long time before sleeping off without turning off the TV and later on, Aunty Mira stopped watching anime after being notified that she had used up 70% of her subscription which made her angry and she started cursing but that was when her phone begins to ring and she looked at it to see who is calling her at this time of the day only to see that it was the young man they met at the fast food Jerry and she became happy, Happy but not because Jerry remember to call and ask how she's feeling but to tell him to help subscribe her smartphone so that she can continue with the anime. She answered the call and said 

"Hello, Jerry, how are you doing"?

"Am okay and you" replies Jerry as he returns the greeting.

"Am not feeling happy right now" replied Aunty Mira while grumbling from the other side of the phone.

"What in the world is it that is making an angel like you sad"? asked Jerry a little concerned.

Seeing that her plan is going well and jerry has already fallen into her trap, she smiled childishly before replying "well I was actually watching this show online since am home and you know my brother and his wife are not around and I was bored but who would have thought that I will run out of subscription".

"Is that the reason why you were not happy this evening"? asked Jerry.

"Yes, it's annoying right?" replied Aunty Mira.

Jerry couldn't help but laugh at her reply. Hearing Jerry's sound of laughter from the other side of the phone, Aunty Mira pretended she was angry and asked Jerry.

 "And why are you laughing"? 

Hearing Aunty Pat's tone getting deep to an angry one, he suppresses his laughter before replying.

 "It's nothing, about the subscription you can leave that to me, in five minutes after I hang up the call I will send you some okay".

"Okay "said Aunty Mira.

 "I said I am going to send you later are you still not happy"? asked Jerry when hearing her simple response.

"Of course, I'm happy now, and thank you for your understanding" replied Aunty Pat while dancing in the living room that she will be able to continue with her anime again. but that was when she remembered that she had not asked Jerry why he was calling her at this time and she quickly asked him.

 "So why are you calling at this time"?

"Because I miss you and could not sleep"replied Jerry who smiled at where their conversation was leading to.

"You just called not knowing if i'm already asleep," said Aunty Mira.

"I called you because I knew you were not sleeping" replied Jerry while laughing.

"And how did you know I was not sleeping"asked Aunty Mira, a little surprised as to how he knew she was not sleeping.

"That will be my little secret" replied Jerry with a chuckle.

"Okay, Mr secrecy, how was work today"? asked Aunty Mira.

"It went well, and how is your brother's condition?" replied Jerry before asking.

"Good I think, the doctor said that he would be operated on" said Aunty Mira as she let out a sigh.

"Look, you don't have to worry yourself about his condition, I believe that he is going to be just fine. Don't forget to call me if you happen to need anything" commented Jerry after consoling her.

"Sure and thanks for your concern" replied Aunty Mira.

"It's nothing besides am doing these to make my angel happy" replied Jerry as he let out a chuckle.

"Here you are calling me your angel when we barely know each other" said Aunty Mira with a light laugh.
