The Illusion of Helping

Keagan watched Leon from the small window on the door. The light in his eyes was dim as if he had never felt alive for a while. After all, he was stuck in a dark cell for a day, only to almost die when he saw Keagan again. He didn't even know what happened after that. It was just that… she couldn't stop joy from filling her heart. 

At least, she didn't see him dead or dying. He even looked so alive when they walked in.

"…Keagan!" Leon wanted to get off the bed to run, but his movement caused pain in his chest. He just grasped at his shirt and stared at her wide-eyed. "Thank God, you're all right! I was so worried—Baron?"

"Hey, how are you, little brother?" Baron pulled on his suit jacket and cooly sat down on the visitor's stool. He then smiled at Leon. "The hospital wants to hold you for monitoring. Are you feeling anything that they needed to check?"
