Chapter 52

Soma’s POV

After everything from yesterday, I decided to take a long bath. I was afraid they were going to make me leave Oliver, I was more afraid that they would force us to reject each other. Yeah, we haven't been together that long, but I’m in love with him and I cannot see myself with anyone else. I was hoping this was just a dream, but I knew it wasn't.

“Soma?” Oliver called from the other side of the door.

“You can come in if you want,” I called back. “I am soaking in the tub thinking about when the Council decides they want to come and force us apart.”

“It might not work out that way, we have to be willing to try to understand why they want certain things, we just have to be smart how we act. They might want a reaction out of us, we cannot give it to them. We have to be smart.” he said cracking the door open. “But when you’re done we should have some breakfast, I know I’m starving.”

“Oh alright, I’ll be downstairs in a few minutes.” I smiled at him.
