Chapter 51

Detective Marks POV

Walking to my car, I knew it was going to be a good night. Tonight I would get to hunt humans with Nikolai and Wayne. I know they’ve been waiting for me for a few days but I didn’t want to meet with them if I didn’t have answers for them. I still didn’t but I figured I could make up some kind of crap and everything would shut down for a while again. I needed to get to Soma, and they were here to help me, but I didn’t want their help.

My phone buzzed when I got into the car. I rolled my eyes I didn’t want to talk to the Vampire King, he was annoying especially when he was impatient. I answered the phone.

“Where is the girl Marks?” he growled into the phone.

“She’s with the mutts,” I growled back. “I’ve been waiting for her to come home, but it seems Oliver and his pack are protecting her.” Shifting in my seat I couldn’t wait for this conversation to end, I couldn’t wait to kill him when the time was right. I would be King.
