14. The Enders

When Devlin saw Levi's cold expression, he couldn't help but remember how this man had dealt with them ruthlessly earlier and he felt a little bit of fear crawled up his spine. He struggled, pulling against the chains and glared fiercely at Jasper who has a taunting smile on his face.

"Quit struggling boy, those chains are enchanted. The more you struggle, the more they tighten on you. I thought you're the brains of the group? Shouldn't you have already realized that by now?" Jasper taunted with a wicked grin on his face. He was so enjoying himself.

The man glared fiercely at Jasper.

Jasper laughed. "Got a stick up your butt, man? and you should see your face in the mirror before you scowl like that, you look like a chipmunk" Devlin growled as Jasper burst into laughter.

" You can growl too? I thought you ain't a dragon?"

"Who are you?" Levi asked.

The man directed his gaze at Levi but remained silent.

Jasper delivered a harsh slap onto his face. "His Majesty is asking you a question"

The prisoner hissed and spited blood in front of him. "He is not my King." He said through gritted teeth.

Jasper was about to rush him again, but Levi raised his hand indicating for him to stop.

"Vader is your King then. Did he send you?" the prisoner's eyes flickered for a moment which didn't go unnoticed by Levi but then retuned to normal.

" I don't know what you're talking about."

"Why did you try to steal the magic stone? " still no reply. Levi's eyes flashed white for a second, releasing his aura. The prisoner flinched but he remained silent. Levi watched him with cold eyes. He knew they wouldn't reveal anything since they're trained for this kind of situation. They'd rather die than talk.

Levi walked round him in a circle observing, then he saw it, a tattoo, on his back. Levi paused, the tattoo was a pair of red wings on both sides of his back. He'd heard of people with this kind of tattoo. It was said they're a big secret organization called the Enders but he couldn't be sure because he hasn't come across one before. Thier missions were always carried out in secret and nobody knows who the leader of this organization was. It was even said no one has ever seen him. Does that mean they're sent by that organization or?

Levi quickly walked over the Cadmus, who was by now already unconscious from torture and checked his back. He saw the same thing there, a pair of red wings tattooed on his back.

What was going on? How did that organization get involved in this? but the reports had stated that they were sent here by Vader from the Void Kingdom.

Does that mean King Vader is the leader of the organization? Or they were just working for him? could they be one of the assassin's and dark witches that was rumored he has been recruiting? and if that was the truth, for him to send this men to come after the Magical stone, he must have aquire alot of information about it and what it stands for.

Levi became more and more agitated. He really had to investigate more about this organization called Enders. For them to start making appearances now, something huge must be going on and he had to find out what.

He came back to stand in front of the man. "So you're an assassin." it wasn't a question but a statement. "Which organization did you belong to? the Enders?"

A look of shock flash across Devlin's eyes for a second but he quickly mask his expression and scuffed. "I don't know what you're talking about." But it didn't go unnoticed by Levi. " You can torture me all you want but you won't be getting anything out of me."

" Oh I do know that all right, and now i also understand why you would dare to infiltrate my Kingdom, but that's alright. You can get in, but you won't be getting out. Most especially when you are of no use to me." He replied calmly. "I would just make an example out of you for the others to see. My Kingdom is not a place you can come and go as you please."

The man was silent. He knew it was over the minute Levi got involved. There's no going back now but they won't be getting anything from him either.

" Do you honestly think we wouldn't know you were coming? why do you think you got in so easily? and where do you think that magical stone came from?" Jasper asked now.

" What do you mean?" Devlin asked, his voice slightly trembling.

"That you fell into our trap, of course. That wasn't the real magic stone, it was just a replica we made to lure you out. You weren't honestly thinking we would let the real one be auctioned off if we had it, were you?"

Devlin looked at them in horror. He would never have suspected that the magical stone that they got caught over wasn't even the real one since there people confirmed it would be there! How could they been so stupid as not to notice it. This is ridiculous!

Seeing the look on his face, Jasper laughed in triumph. "I bet you didn't expect to get caught so easily, either. Oh man, It must have been a huge blow to your ego. Your first mission into the Azure and you failed, miserably so at that." Jasper laughed again.

The man snared in anger. "Damn you, son of a bitch. It was a miscalculation on our path and i lost to the king of Azure, no shame in that. If he hadn't got involved, we would have escaped anyway, wether the stone was real or not! " He should have realized this sooner when the King got involved.

Sly son of a bitch! He looked at Levi with disgust. Who knew the Azure King could play such a dirty trick.

They had miscalculated and hadn't expected that he would intervene by himself at the auction which is why they'd lost the battle so fast before they could even realize what had happened. They should have known.

Jasper laughed. "You should count yourself lucky then, not just anyone could get to brag about having a taste of the King's power, most especially not a nobody like you. You're just not worthy. Even your king has to run with his tail between his legs the last time he fought his Majesty."

" Son a bitch! I should have killed you first" the man spat with venom in his voice.

Jasper laughed. "You really think too highly of yourself. Anyone listening now would think you even try. You didn't even get the chance to get out of his majesty's clutches, talkless of killing me. Even if you're given the chance, it is still an undisputable fact that you're no match for me no matter how powerful you are. You don't even have a dragon, and if not for the fact that his Majesty was interested in you, anyone of our foot soldiers could have easily done the job. You wouldn't have gotten the honors to face our King."

Honors my foot! Devlin thought and growled struggling against the chains in anger. Ever since he's become an assassin, this is the first time he'd failed his mission and suffer such great humiliations.

He wish he could get his hands on Jasper and strangle him to death.

" I told you to quit struggling, you're going nowhere. Just stay calm and enjoy the hospitality of our dungeons while it lasts. You don't know what tomorrow might have in store for you.
