Chapter Seventeen

[P.O.V. Zyston Woods]

Tyler and I bring Titus down by ripping his eye out. Once he was dead, we change back into human form, racing to Joseph's side. Joseph has already shifted back to his human form. His whole body was bruised and very bloody. In some spots, bones were sticking out. Kneeling next to him, he was barely even breathing. Blood was running out of his mouth and nose.

"Why did you do that?" Asking him a little angrily.

"Because you are my Alpha.. also because I know you would have done it for me." He swallows hard. I didn't know what to say to that because it was true. "You two are my brothers... I didn't know what a real pack was.. until I met you... Meeting Jolene was the icing on the cake."

"We'll get you some medical attention," Tyler says, trying to reassure him.

"I'm not going to make it this time Ty... I have said my goodbyes, please do me the honor.. end my suffering." Joseph says painfully. Nodding my head in agreement with his request.

"You are the best Delta an Alpha could have. You will always be my brother and apart of the Silver Moon Pack," Telling him.

"Long live the King." Placing my hands around his neck, breaking it.

Later on that night, we started to burned all our dead. Including the Dark Army dead. I'm getting tired of burning pack members and those close to me. It took four days to clean up the battlefield. By that time, the Dawn Goddess and Sun God Kingdoms arrived. The Witches and Warlocks camped outside with us Werewolves. While the Vampire's stay inside and underneath the Stone Castle during the day. Now we're just waiting for the Nature Goddess Kingdom to show up.

Something also has happened that night after battling something bad. A lot of my Warrior's lost their mating marks. We all wanted to go back home, but we knew we couldn't leave the Stone Kingdom defenseless. We had an idea that it was what the Dark Army leaders wanted. I hope whatever happened, not everyone died. Hoping my Mate and Sister are alright.

[P.O.V. Elder Jenna]

I was able to hide and escape the attack. It was horrifying to see everyone get slaughtered the way they did. The one thing that made my heart swell with joy. Was watching our Luna, Beta female, and Delta female. With few others were able to escape.

After the Dark Army left, I burned the bodies. Then I made my way towards the Stone Kingdom. To let Alpha know what happened. Finding a car that still works in town, I left Dark Wood. The car broke down halfway there I had to walk the rest of the way. Changing into my old wolf Cali, strawberry blonde and silver fur covered my body.

Within a few days, I was able to make it to the Stone Kingdom. It was just before sunset, getting to the castle gates. Two dwarf guard takes me to Beta Tyler. He was sitting around the campfire with a few Warriors.

"Beta Tyler, this unknown wolf was trying to get through the gates." Guard one says. He looks at us, and his facial expression turned super serious. Getting out of his seat quickly.

"Elder Jenna? What are you doing here? Is Katrina and the baby alright?" He asks worriedly and concern.

"Beta Tyler, I need to talk to Alpha Zyston; it's urgent." Telling him through mind-link.

"Thanks, guys. I got it from here," He says to the Guards they take there to leave. "Follow me."

Beta Tyler takes me to the Alpha tent. On the way there, there were whispers threw out camp. I knew what they were about, wondering why I was here.

"I'm glad you came... Alpha, not doing so well. 'I wonder what he means?' Asking myself. "We had a huge battle here.."

That when he told me about Delta Joseph's death. Pack member's losing their mating marks as well. When losing a mating mark, it like a hot iron scrapping across your skin. After your soul is ripped apart, our insides feel like jelly. Then all you feel is nothing but emptiness.

Getting to Alphas tent, he was sitting at the edge of the bed in front of a fire. Sharpening a sword between his legs. He looked tired but also angry. He looks up from sharpening the sword and looks confused at first.

"Jenna." He bows his head to me for respect only because my Father was the one that gave him his Alpha ceremony.

"She has urgent news to tell you." Beta pitches in. Alpha nods his head in understanding. Putting the sword down, he gets up.

Grabbing a black T-shirt and a pair of sweat pants, he hands it to me. Taking it with my mouth, I go behind the folding screen that sits in his tent. Shifting back to human form and getting dressed. Once fully dress, I explain everything that has happened.

[P.O.V. Zyston Woods]

Sitting in my tent sharpening a sword, trying to kill the worry. Of wondering what happened back home if Adriana and the baby were okay. Same with my twin and her child. Worry not the only thing I'm trying to kill but also the rage I feel inside from all the pack members that have died, losing Vincent, and now losing Joseph. Everything that has happened is eating me up inside. I want nothing more than to Kill Alexander, Evanora, the Dark King, and everyone that's on their side.

Someone entering my tent; looking up, Jenna was in her wolf form. She was standing next to Tyler. I am a little confused as to how she is still alive. From what I understand, that happened the other night.

"Jenna." Greeting her and bowing my head with respect.

Tyler telling me why she is here. I get up to get some of my clothes to wear. After she changed, she told me what happened. From the packhouse being attacked. To Adriana and the small group escaping, then to Tanasha death, and everything that has happened. Listening only built the rage and worry even more.

"Tyler, make sure Jenna gets some food and rest." Telling him after she was done talking.

"Yea, of course." He replays back. Stripping down to my boxers. "What you going to do?"

"To blow off some steam!" Answering backing aggressively. Changing into Travis and running out of the tent to the forest.

Everything that has happened is all for a stupid throne to rule a kingdom. If this is what it cost to have that throne, then I rather not have it. I would rather have my pack members alive and those important to me. Everything that has happened to me since I found out I was going to be King. Kept flashing in my head, and the words kept ringing in my head.

Turning back to humans and using the trees as my punching bags. Punching holes in them, even knocking a few down. Then I would shift back to being a wolf and run. Running so hard and fast, I blacked out with the rage I was feeling inside.

Getting out of my blackout, I was standing in front of a lake; it was sunset. I don't even know how I got here to this place. Taking a deep breath in and letting it out, taking a drink from the lake. For it was going to be a long run to find my way back.

Feeling like I was being watched, looking up, and there was a woman. With her face half away out of the water, just watching me a few yards away.

"Is that what I think it is?" Travis asks.

"I think it is," Stryker says.

"What you guys talking about?" Asking them back.

"It's a siren."

"A siren? Aren't they deadly?"

"Only if they want to eat you. In that case, they look like someone you fancy. The question we should be asking is, why doesn't she look like the woman we fancy?" The siren kept moving her fingers like she wanted me to follow her.

"I think she wants us to follow her."

"Are you nuts? Has the pressure of being a future King and this war gotten to you? That you want to sacrifice us to it?" Travis disagrees with me.

"I agree with Zyston. We should follow it to find out why she here?" Stryker agrees with me.

Changing back into my human form. Travis and Stryker continue to bicker about this choice. Stepping into the water, the Siren disappears. Continuing to walk further in until it reaches my chin. Getting a deep breath the best I could, for I was being dragged down underwater.
