Chapter 24: The Truth Comes to Light

The closer she got to Hadley, the more she could feel him. She had never felt anyone as intensely as this before. It was as if her wolf senses were being blocked and were suddenly wide open. She loved it. So many feelings rushed through her.

The warehouse was so dark, but it smelled terrible. Like death and cigarettes, or was it cigars? The more the smell intensified the more she realized it was cigars.

She slowly rounded a corner. Her body was telling her to go that way. She approached the end of it and what seemed like a dead end.

She growled low and deep.

She turned around and was face to face with another wolf. This wolf was massive. He towered over her by several feet and his dark fur reeked of cigar smoke.

Seamus.

She knew it was him. No introductions needed.

The sheer volume of hatred for this wolf overloaded her every nerve. She lunged at him, and he moved out of the way causing her to hit the floor hard.
