Gift bearer

How did it happen?

It all started when they walked into one of the drinking pubs. Hefty and angry looking men were the majority in the place.

"Uhm Luisa... don't you think we should find another place to drink?" Lindsey suggested. Not like she is one to back down from a fight if it was to take place but...Better careful than sorry.

"Nah, what are you so scared of? We are here to drink. If anyone wants trouble, will give it to them!" Senora bragged, crossing her arms across both girls shoulders as she was in between them.

They sat by the bar counter and ordered some drinks. "Something strong please!" Senora giggled.

"You are not drunk yet but you are already acting tipsy," Lindsey told.

"I'm just excited, the thing is...I'm not always allowed to drink so I just drink occasionally. It's not ladylike they would say...Sucks!" Senora replied.

"Tell me about it," Lindsey placed her head on her palm.

Their drinks were served in shots and they gulped it in one go.

"Another!"

They drank some more shots, creatures higher than humans were always able to hold their liquor more but most especially, human alcohols don't easily intoxicates them.

"So Senora...I was wondering if you have your secret weapon yet," Luisa began, it was true that she has wondered about that. She was so excited about getting hers, she couldn't help but inquire what other elves, who have required theirs, are.

Though it's supposed to be secret but it doesn't hurt to share with a friend. The secret weapon is supposed to help you in time of need and it's so good for a sneak attack.

"Oh, a boomerang," Senora didn't hesitate to tell her.

What?

"I know right, I was shocked too when I first received it. I mean what do I need a boomerang for. But after time, it really does come in handy. I can show it to you," Senora continued.

"In here? I don't think so-"

"What? Besides it's just us at the counter and the attendant. What could go wrong?" Senora asked, interrupting Luisa.

"Everything Senora, don't be reckless. There are people here, none elves," Lindsey pointed out.

"Which makes it even more perfect. Pfft as if anyone hasn't heard of the special secret weapons of the elves. Nevertheless for precautions, I can do it in a way no one can distinguish it from a regular boomerang," Senora responded and she created the boomerang immediately so that the other duo wouldn't stop her again.

"Wow..." marveled the human man at the counter who was serving the drinks.

"Merqúitos merqúitos eldvandra," Senora recited and the human man turned away, redirecting his attention back to cleaning the glasses.

"Memory wiping spell," Luisa whispered, she was awe. It was the first time someone was actually performing that spell of elven origin, in front of her.

Senora grinned, "Now that that's out of the way, let's swing this baby-Oops!" Senora accidentally swinged the boomerang without direction and it hit one of the hefty men across the pub.

"Whoops-a-daisy," Senora exclaims as she caught the boomerang which came back to her.

"Who threw something at me?" the man questioned even though he stood up and was facing them angrily.

"I think it's time for us to make our exit," Senora stated, she brought the boomerang to behind her and dissipated it.

"Yeah," Lindsey seconded and they headed for the entrance to make their exit. But one of the tall hefty men stood up to block their way.

"Where do you girls think you are going to?" he asked, grinning with a menacing look.

"And they haven't even paid me yet!" the attendant announced.

"(Laughs nervously) Do we really have to fight with you? Do you really want to fight with ladies?" Senora asked.

But the man laughed uncaring.

Just as he was about to launch his first attack, Luisa's leg went to his groin and the impact was phenomenon. It made the man to stagger away in pain and he fell across the table of some men who were drinking.

He smashed all their drinks and just that little action led to a bar fight. The girls were able to sneak their way out in the middle of the fight, leaving the men to fight till the death.

"Start a bar fight! That was so cool. You are so cool Luisa," Senora beamed.

Luisa laughed, "I never expected this beautiful place to have such dangerous and noisy pub,"

"Well, nothing is perfect," Lindsey responded as they continued to run towards the carriage.

"This was fun, today was a total blast and what a nice way to end it," Senora chuckled, her hands went to both girls' as they continued to run.

'Yes, yes it was.' Luisa thought with a smile.

...

Luisa got to the mansion. She was now having dinner with Zeke.

"So how was your day?" he inquired.

"It was lovely," she replied.

"Glad you are socializing," he responded.

"So, how's the meetings concerning the Li`caburs? Have the witcher council come to a decision?" she inquired.

"Not yet. But there have been low reports concerning those snake creatures, hopefully it will stay like that till we come to a conclusion. For all we know, this could just be a calm before the storm," Zeke answered.

"Okay. Do you happen to know how the little elf boy is fairing?" she asked.

"You must be really worried and fond of him," he replied and she nodded.

"You have nothing to worry about. Focus on getting your gifts and skills as an elf, the boy is still in stage one. The real action starts at stage three," he continued.

"Okay. I'm going to turn in early today," she was kind of exhausted from the outing.

"I see. Very well then," he responded and so she left the dining room.

The next day, she was at the Reigns' mansion as usual. She was in the library room with Lindsey.

"I came across this book Lindsey. The gift bearer of the high elves," Luisa started.

"Oh really. That's strange, my dad doesn't usually put such books in the open. It must just be tales about the gift bearers," Lindsey responded.

"Yes but it is intriguing. Do they really exist or it's just a myth?" Luisa asked.

"I don't know if I should be telling you this because my father probably wants you to take things step by step but... yes, they do exist and it's one of the fastest ways to acquire your gifts as an high elf.

"They can be summoned and if you are eligible and worthy, they will bestow the gifts to you," Lindsey explained.

"?!"
