He turned his back on both of them and took a deep breath. “I’ll get everything sorted with the front desk like I promised.”

“What I want to know, Shane, is why you didn’t tell me years ago how little you thought of me? You could have saved us both a lot of time.” The door opened in front of him. “Don’t bother with the front desk.”
