Chapter 24

“What should we do? Whisper his name?”

“I like the idea of licking him.” She stopped at the side of her casket and dropped his hand, her skirt whipping around her as she whirled in excitement. “Oh! Look at what I figured out how to do.” She pushed him gently away, forcing him to watch. Screwing her eyes shut, she stood completely still for a few seconds. Then her feet left the floor. She rose into the air, higher and higher, until her bottom was level with the top of the closed casket, at which point she promptly opened her eyes and thumped to a seated position atop it. “Isn’t that wonderful? We can fly!”

“How did you do that? Just concentrate?”
