War zone 2 chapter 9

General javest instructed us to guard our camp ground tonight because he wasn't sure if the enemies would attack our camp ground. We left the previous day after General javest instructed us. Our camp ground wasn't far away from the battle field, it wolud take two hours to arrive if we took our feet but less than 2 hours if we went by our military vans, but general javest didn't want us to take the vans because he wanted to save our limited resources as much as possible. We were going to camp overnight and continue our journey in the morning. My tenth was set among the other females because I was the only female that decided to join the fighting troops while other females joined the health section. I met two girls in the tenth namely Nicolas and bumbby. They were both lively girls and talked alot.

"you must be Victoria styles." Nicolas said and smiled revealing her cute visible dimple on her left cheeks. I suddenly wondered what a preety lady like her could be doing in this dangerous place.

"ohh, yes, how do you know me?" I said and suddenly became attentive to what she was about to say.

"well commander javest introduced you as his assistant." she said and chuckled which made me thought why she was laughing.

"please forgive Nicolas for her childish act, she's just happy to see you, she has being wanting to see you for weeks now." bumbby said and smiled. Bumbby was a black lady like me but she looked like she was in her early forties.

I'm Nicolas and this is bumbby my nanny." wait her nanny, who has a nanny at such matured age. She stared at me and her eyes gleamed with curiosity.

" Nice to meet you Nicolas and bumbby." I said and smiled back at the ladies.

" so tell us Victoria, isn't general javest cute." Thats when I realized she had a crush on general javest. I smiled to what she said and changed, wearing blue shorts and white tank top.

" Come on lady Nicolas, you can't just disturb her, she must be very busy since she's general javest assistant." Bumbby said and smiled timidly.

Since I was the general javest assistant I was needed. I went to general javest tenth and saluted.

"At ease." He said and stopped what he was doing when he felt the presence of someone in his room.

"Victoria styles, I don't remember summoning you here." He said and pocketed his hands in his pants.

  "General Mali sent a signal."

"That means the safest time to go is now. Soldier go tell the troops to pack up and get the vans ready. It seems like we have to take the vans to make it on time." I exited his tenth and informed other troops. All arms and machinarys where placed in a separate van but all soldiers had their personal gun provided by the government with them. I rode with General javest and some other sergeants in a pick up truck. There was a machine gun at the back of the pick up truck and a soldier to operate it.

We made it to the field safely and offloaded our arms. General javest grouped us and waited for the signal of the first group. The first group of soldiers surveyed the vast land and searched for breathing soldiers. They found few soldiers that were still breathing but looked like they were going to die but they didn't leave them, the rescue team which consists of mostly ladies carried them down the hill were one of our base was designated. When we got the signal we all head to the feild on guard because from what we found out, we had traitors among us and our enemies planted spies in the military and no one could be trusted. The land was Rocky and filled with dead soldiers and giant rats feeding on them. I followed General javest behind his back and stayed on guard. We spotted some of our enemies surveying the land and killing the reminants of our living soldiers. They stabbed them with knives at the ending of their AK 47. A soldier shot at them many times when they were about to stab him/her. This reminded me of world War two. When Desmond doss told people his story and experience as a soldier in the world War. Desmond doss was a great man and believer of God who didn't believe in violence but he was still on the military and didn't kill or make use of a gun to kill his enemies. He one the first award of an honored soldier and it was said he saved 75 people at a go.
