"I really do like him, Mrs. Cruz, but it's hard to say,'' she disappointedly says to Mrs. Cruz and sighs. Mrs. Cruz taps her back and smiles at her. "Ms. Carmela, I know it's hard, but--" she didn't finish what she wants to say as Leo approached them.
"Mrs. Cruz? Is it okay if I borrow Carmela? Don't worry I just have something to say to her,'' he utters and Mrs. Cruz went to the kitchen to give them some privacy. Leo then looks at her and smiles.
"What is it, Leo?'' she asked and Leo continued to smile at her. She was frowning as she was trying to read what's on his mind. "Just say it, Leo,'' she said. Leo then takes a deep breath and looks at her.
"We passed the examination, we can go to school next week,'' he happily utters. Carmela knew they would pass, but she was thinking why Leo had to tell her about that. It's so obvious that they would pass, with their intelligence, they would surely pass.
