Elena's POV
I went to hang around the corner, getting drunk with a bottle of vodka in my hands. I just want Harry out of my head. I really need to stop thinking about him before it all turns wrong. I love Shawn so much and I wouldn't ruin it now.
I didn't know when a cold hand touched and pulled me from where I stood. I was so drunk and everything was so muzzy but that scent couldn't deceive me. It was from Harry.
"Harry, I told you to stay away from me. I don't want to talk to you." I said, almost tripping.
Harry's POV
Ever since we had that conversation, Elena has been on my mind. I was confused. Why would she want me to stay away from her? I know she's going through a lot. Her mom was getting divorced. I thought that was it but the look in her eyes told me there was something else.
I searched everywhere for her. I wanted us to talk about everything. I sighted her at a corner and immediately my legs sped up to meet her. She was so drunk. I pulled her up but she grumbled.
"Harry, I told you to stay away from me. I don't want to talk to you." She reminded me again.
I felt hurt hearing her say those words.
"El, You're drunk. You don't mean all that you've said. Cmon let's go. Shawn has been looking for you." I said, trying to pull her up.
"I'm not drunk okay. Harry, I'm tired okay. I'm tired of playing this game. Just stay away from me, please. That's all I ask." She belched.
"Why do you want me to stay away from you? I thought we were friends."
"Because..." She paused, taking a sip from her drink.
"Because what? Why would you want to stay away from me? El!"
"Because I love you!"She cried, covering her face.
"What did you say?" I asked again. I was really shocked to hear her say that. She's probably drunk.
"I said I love you." She said again, kissing me immediately. I was still shocked but still, I didn't stop her when I should. She's my boyfriend's girlfriend. I devoured her lips like I had been longing for it. I don't know what came over me. I'm not drunk so something is definitely wrong with me.
"This is wrong." I stopped myself from kissing those tasty lips.
"Harry. I'm so.." She slept off in my arms like a baby.
I carried her to Shawn's bedroom. Shawn was at ease seeing she was safe.
I went back to my room. I fell on my bed, my mind still thinking about that kiss.
The following morning, I was determined to talk to Elena about last night. I wanted to know if she really meant all she said. Shawn was out again at a concert leaving me to drive El to school. El was in her final year in college. We were both silent during the drive. I cleared my throat finally letting out those questions I've been dying to ask.
"El...we need to talk," I said, feeling serious.
"Talk about what?" Elena replied, acting oblivious to what I was talking about.
She knew we had a lot to talk about so I'm surprised seeing her deny it.
"Last night. What you told me remember?" I say, wishing she remembered every word she said.
"I don't know what you're talking about Harry. You know I was drunk last night but did I say something important?" She asked.
"N..no... it's nothing." I say, disappointed. I stopped the car and she dropped down.
"Harry!" El snapped at me.
I was lost in thoughts.
"What?" I was taken away from my reverie.
"I was talking to you. You really need to get yourself a girlfriend." She smiled.
"I don't date girls. You know that." I smirked.
"Whatever." She replied.
"Don't forget there's a beach party you don't want to miss," I tell her.
"Yeah, right. I need to tell my friend, Anna. Okay, bye." She waved.
My eyes wouldn't just stop staring at her ass as she walked. I think I have a fever.
