Chapter Fifteen

Just like that I was planning a date with Trey Fields. I have never seen Jax be so against this plan but it's the only way. I went upstairs and called Trey.

Of course he answered so arrogantly "Indiana! I figured you'd call sooner or later."

This made me really roll my eyes. I know it's a bad habit but I can't help it. So I played along and did that girlish laugh he enjoys.

"Hey Trey! I was actually going to see if you wanted to accompany me to dinner?" I used the honey tone that causes him to become in a daze.

"What? Yeah! I mean sure!" he stammered out.

At this point I wish I could watch his face.

"Pick me up at 7? You pick the place."I said.

Instead of hanging up like I normally would.

I could sense that he was smiling about this "Of course Indiana. See you soon." he said.

I yelled for Jackson. He came running into my room. "Well, it looks like I have a date. You can use this time to check out the woods."

He nodded.

"If you are that fearful of losing me to this creep I will wear my tracker." I said with a smiled and touched his face. "This is just work and the sooner we fix this problem, the faster we get our new location." I said as I looked at him.

All he could do was shake his head and walk away.

With a deep breath I started getting ready. I curled my hair. Tied my ribbon. Found my strapless black dress. I slowly pulled up my stockings and slid into my red heels. I glanced in the mirror as I added my red lipstick. I was dressed to kill. Well not really but close enough. I laughed as I thought about it. I slipped my jacket on my arm and walked down the stairs. Jax was standing by the door and he grabbed my coat from my arm and put it on me. For a moment I wish it was him taking me out. Maybe in another time. I glanced at his hands. He was holding a box.

I smiled "Jax? What's that?" I questioned and pointed at his hands.

He opened the box and it was a silver chain that held my birthstone on it. I was stunned.

"Turn around Indie!" He said as I pulled up the back of my hair as he slipped the necklace around my neck.

"Jackson, it is beautiful!" I exclaimed.

He smiled and said "Just be safe tonight, okay?"

"You do realize that I can handle my own. Also if you can stop worrying that will make me feel better." I said as I tussled my hair.

He nodded and just like that the doorbell rang. I kissed him on the cheek.

"Don't be tracking me the whole time. Find the cabin! And be safe!" I said before opening the door.

I opened the door and there with a smile and a new rose was Trey. I tried to avoid eye contact with him. I didn't want him to become in a daze before I even stepped out of the door. I walked over to him and hugged him and with a soft slow peck on the cheek. I know that caught him by surprise. I felt that smile. On the inside I cringed as I felt his hands slip down my back.

I pulled away as I winced in pain. "Ow! Sorry I fell yesterday hiking and I'm a little scrapped up." I said trying to play the bunny part.

With that he looked pleased. I finally made eye contact.

"So where are we going?" I asked, his face started going into a daze. "TREY!" I snapped at him! He was already dazed.

"Huh? Oh! Um, I was thinking of this Italian place downtown." he said smoothly.

I smiled at him and in a soft slow tone "Breathe Trey!" I never lost eye contact with him as I said this.

Dinner was good but the information I got from Trey was better. I did find out the cabin was his and that he goes out there. I would have kept him entrance with me if it wasn't for his friends walking in. I grabbed his hand. I felt his pulse quicken at the touch of my skin. I always wanted to test this but I pushed the thoughts of happiness through me. It seemed to work as his pulse quickened.

So I tried to send mellow vibes through, I felt him relax. "Hey man! How's it going?"

I smiled as Trey answered "Just enjoying dinner with Indiana. Do you know each other?" he questioned.

Oh thank god! He didn't give his friend the chance to call me the state girl.

I watched his eyes trail up my body. "No man! I don't think we have!" he said, trying to be suave.

I looked at him, I didn't make eye contact at first as I looked over at him; between the neck tattoo and the double eyebrow piercing he looked like a fool. Short light brown hair with green eyes; not really built like Trey but not scrawny either.

I smiled and reached for his hand; as soon as his hand touched mine I glanced into his eyes. I whispered in that honey tone "Trey will see you tomorrow." I said smoothly.

He looked at me and his face soften. "Hey man! I'll talk to you tomorrow. Indiana, it was a pleasure." he said before walking away.

I smiled going back to squeezing Trey's hand.

After dinner I sent out the signal that dinner was done. Trey looked at me.

"Lets take a walk!" I suggested. I knew I needed to get some more from him.

I let him grab me around the waist. I knew this was making him happy. We walked around a bit until I got cold and we headed to his car. Taking a breath I leaned across the seats and touched his face.

I grabbed him, making him look at me. "I need you to look in my eyes." I said looking square into his.

He kept looking at my lips. I rolled my eyes and figured I could try this for information. I kissed him, running my tongue against his. This went on for a few minutes until I felt him grow weak.

"Trey look at me." I pushed his chin up. "Tell me about these missing girls Trey!" I demanded!

I felt him start to worry as he said "They are all dead Indiana!"

He started to get out of the car. "Trey forget I asked! Okay? Remember this night as we had fun!" I said.

He took a deep breath "Huh? What is going on?" he said, confused.

I leaned in and kissed him one more time. "You're driving me home Trey. I wanted to thank you. Tonight was fun." I said, trying to get him to focus back on mem.

I stepped out of the jeep. He also stepped out as he was walking me to the door. I turned around before we hit the porch.

"Thank you Trey for dinner. I will see you tomorrow at school?" I asked with a smile.

He smiled as he leaned in to kiss me but I kissed his cheek and he wrapped his arms around me. For some reason his touch made me feel sick, as I knew he was the cause of the deaths. I felt like that little girl with the killer so long ago.

I felt his hand about to slide to my ass as I pulled away. "Goodnight Trey!" I started towards the door.
