Friends?
I got up in the morning because of the sunlight seeping through the curtains into my room and because of Alicia.
"Princess, get up"
"No, I want to sleep more"
"But, you have classes"
"I can be late for a day. There's no harm in that"

"I'm really sleepy"
"Princess, your classes"
"Okay. I'm getting up now"
I got down from the bed. I took a bath, cleaned my teeth, applied oil to my skin and put on a white dress. I went to the courtyard for my classes. Olwyn was there but Sister Xamira wasn't.
"Sir Olwyn" I greeted
"Xeraphina, hi"
It still feels weird hearing Olwyn call me by my name without adding the honors.
"Hi. Sister Xamira hasn't come yet?"
"No she hasn't. By the way, I wanted to talk to you about something"
"Okay, go on"
"It's about Prince Lukyan"
"What about him?" I asked out of curiosity.
"You do know about the rumours, that he is the reincarnated devil. Right?"
"Yes, everyone knows that"
"But, do you know why they call him that?"
"No,why do they call him that?" I asked curious even more.
"Because in the battle field, he is a ruthless monster. He takes bloodbaths with the blood of his enemies and no one has been able to lay a finger on him. There was a time he went on war on his own against five hundred men and he defeated them all and not even a strand of his hair was lost. The most shocking part was that he was only but 16 years old. The teacher came and when it got to the evening, the class was dismissed. Sir Olwyn came to me.
"Xeraphina, I wanted to ask a question"
"A question?"
"Yes"
"Okay, go on"
"I wanted to ask if you can be friends with me"
"F-friends?"
"Yes, so do you agree?"
"Okay, I'll be friends with you"
"Great"
"I'll take your leave now" I said.
I left him there. I went to my quarters, took a bath, ate dinner and went to bed.

The sun rose shining brightly. I got up because of Alicia. I took a bath, cleaned my teeth and dressed up.
"Princess, a message came for you" Alicia said
"For me?"
"Yes, Princess"
"Who is it from?"
"The King"
"What message?"
"He said that he is sending you away"
Color drained from my face.
"What‽!! How can he?"
"It is what the letter said."
"Give me the letter. I want to see it"
I read the letter and she was right. I went to the King's quarters with Alicia and Callum behind me.
"Princess Xeraphina is here, Your highness" The announcer said.
"Let her in" I heard father say.
I walked in.
"King Father, Liveth Longeth"
I said it while curtsying.
"Rise"
I did as instructed.
"Why have you come here?"
"King Father, there is something I want to talk to you about"
"And what is it?" He asked with slight irritation coating his voice.
"King Father, I can't go. You can't send me away"
"Why can't I? I am the King"
"But King Father, I am your daughter, not a slave"
"I wished you were. I wished you weren't my daughter. You are a curse. You were born at night, that too taking your mother as the night passed." He said angrily.
I froze. H-he was right. I am a curse. Tears rolled down my eyes.
"I-I'm sorry" I said"You will be staying in the deepest east part of Jennosia. You will come back on the fourth year" He said.
Four years?!? I'll be 18 by then.

I left his quarters in utter shock. Tomorrow?! Four years?! Why? Why does he hat me so much? I wish my mother was here, she would have loved me, right? She wouldn't hate her own child, right?
I went to my classes
