Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Eight + Beef Grillers

Staring out the window, I remained silent and did not respond to Adian's question. I know that he is suspicious, but I am concerned about his reaction when I tell him what I remembered.

Keeping my eyes intently out the window, noticing the area, Adian's driving towards isn't his territory.

I frowned and turned to look at Adian's tensed figure sitting beside me. "Are we heading in the right direction?" I asked softly, wondering where this date is being held and I am now confident that I am dressed for it.

I smiled when i notice Beef Grillers ahead of us, "that's where I got my first deal on behalf of SullaKnights" I point towards Beef Grillers building, turning to Adian, whose now, bending his head lower to peer outside at the buildings.

Feeling the Benz, slowing down close to the Beef Grillers, I looked at Adian, whose staring at the building.

Stopping, he smiles at me, "let's check it out. It must be a great place if you were able to bag a multimillion dollars deal here." Adian, shuts of the car and nod at me, unbuckling his seatbelt.

I already know and love this location, but Adian, has never been here. Unbuckling my own seatbelt, I move to get out of the vehicle, when my door was opened by a smiling Adian.

Accepting the hand he held out to me, I stepped out of the Benz, to stand in front of the best Burger Joint in the city, crossing my fingers, hoping that Adian would agree with me.

Hand in hand, we strolled towards the front door, when a couple opened the door to walk out. I nod at them and smile, while Adian, holds the door open for me to precede him further inside.

Wow! The place is packed, would we even get through now? I turned to look up at Adian, hoping he's not disappointed.

"You want to go elsewhere? This place is packed tonight" I said looking around, when a large bouquet of white roses was thrust into my hands.

Shocked, I moved back a bit and looked at Adian, who was giving the young lady who presented me with the flowers, a confused look.

"Welcome to Beef Grillers, I am RaeAnn, I will be your server tonight." I young black girl stood smiling cheerfully in front of us, while I stared dumfounded at the roses I now held in my hand.

I turned to question Adian silently.

Wrapping an around my waist, "thank you RaeAnn, I notice you're packed out. Do you have an extra table for my wife and I?" Adian asked, above my head, staring at the waitress with a smirk.

Nodding, "follow me" RaeAnn says and turn to walk further inside the restaurant, with Adian leading me to follow after her.

With my head down and slightly hidden in Adian's chest, I allowed myself to follow RaeAnn to a table that's actually empty in the middle of the vast, overcrowded room.

"Wow!" I commented, chuckling realizing we got a table. "Are we really that lucky?" I asked Adian, "to get the best seat in the house?" I continued, looking around as I sat down, clutching the roses to my chest.

As Adian, sits moves the chair from opposite me, to sit beside me, I take that moment to look around the place. A grin appearing on my face as I start recognizing the faces around me.

Bringing the flowers towards my face, shyly, "you did this" I accused him, smiling at Sister Ally and some of the workers from the children's home . My eyes travelled around smiling recognizing everyone present. Even Mr. Peters.

Placing the flowers on the table, I wrapped both my arms around Adian's neck. "Thank you for making my special night about everyone I love." I muttered into Adian's ear.

Wrapping one arm around my waist. "I knew you would love this gathering, but we will be having our first date weekend." He whispers back.

I started receiving hugs from everyone, as Adian, slowly moved aside and I am smiling, genuinely happy, because everyone I missed being around is here, in this room with me.

Why did Adian, organize this dinner, with all these people.

"Sorry we are late." Basil says and I look up to meet Mel's and Caleb grinning mischievously at me, their eyes, twinkling back at me.

"You knew about this?" I asked in still unable to hide my surprise and appreciation.

Chuckling, "Well he did, because he was hellbent on going shopping with you!" Mel laughs softly and I joined in remembering Caleb's attitude all day!

As everyone took their seats, with dinner being served, I turned to Adian, whose sipping his water with a contented look on his face.

Reaching up, I caressed his cheek and he turns to me smiling.

"You could have invited Adana and Mrs. Harris" I commented, hoping that Adian didn't leave her out because of me.

Staring intently back at me, "I did" was all he said, putting the water to his lips once again.

"Oh," I mouthed, realizing that he did and Adana refused.

Nodding I look down at my unfinished burger, disappointed that Adana isn't interested in trying.

Placing and arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer.

"It's her unwise choice!
